That was one play we actually ran very efficiently under Schotty. LOL.

did the jets even run a quick slant yesterday? 80% of shotty's PB.

Sorta....Schilens caught a pass on a route that looked like a combined hook-in/drag/in-route/slant.

apparently shotty has developed plays that are designed to get the ball out of bradford's hand quick. hmm sounds familiar!

lets design all quick routes and make sanchez get the ball out quick! we had more big plays downfield yesterday then it seemed all of last year.

In fairness, we also had a line that could block and keep a formed pocket for more than 2 seconds yesterday.

I think the true test for this offense will come when they have to play from behind and win a tough game.

I'm not sure the Bills are a good yardstick.

Then again, remember how hard it was for the Jets to score td's in the first quarter under Schitty?

We had one of the better lines in the league in 09, 10 and it didn't help. I'm not saying we will suddenly be one of the top offenses in the league but the passing game was always a struggle under schotty. In a league where rules benefit the passing game everything we did on they front while schotty was here was difficult. If we didn't have a great running game Rex's first two years we would have been coming off being one of the worst offenses in the league 3 years running.

Spangs said he believes in the KISS offensive - Keep It Simple Stupid, Shotty had the O-line always thinking to much about what play they were going to run. JMO. Go Jets

Actually it did help, quite a bit -- the Jets offense was absolutely more effective in '09 and '10 than it was last year.

    This is true.
