It'll be ok. Even if he sits next week the Jets have enough in the defensive backfield to maintain. The problem is with the linebackers.

Im shocked. I didn't think it looked like he got hit all that hard.

Was there any update on his status for next week.

He got rocked on the play where he made the shoestring tackle. I didn't see the kick in the back of the head. I thought he maybe had tweaked some cartilage in his ribs or something when he stretched out and got jerked as he grabbed the shoe.

He rolled over and lay face down for a couple of seconds and then he got up slowly and headed for the sidelines.

Like I said, head injury = concussion, despite their trying to hide it.

We're fine. The Jets haven't lost a game yet that Revis missed with an injury.

Rex is what's important. If he knows he doesn't have Revis he'll work something out to cover the loss of strength. Remember that we're not talking going from Revis to a hole here. The Jets have some talented defensive backs at this point and Cromartie is a #1 on most teams.

Very true. Steelers isn't the worst game to lose Revis for. Jets should be able to get pressure on Big ben.

Mild probably means he has a headache today. He will take some Advil and be good to go.

Yea I think he will be on the field as well. If he was a LB I'd be more hesitant to play him. Revis plays physical but he doesn't ever really lay hard hits. Unless someone kicks him in the head when he is down again he should be fine. I trust our coaches with deciding whats best for him.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't play on Sunday, but stranger things have happened.

    Seriously?

If Revis sits against a pass game that features Wallace, Brown etc, while we aren't screwed I certainly don't feel good about it.

Revis is instrumental in this upcoming game.

At the end of the day if needed then the Jets should sit him, but of course I'm hoping he's able to play.

^ did you watch the Steelers game last night? There entire starting offensive line is injured except for Starks. Ben is going to have some protection problems against our D.

It would be nice to have Revis, obviously. However, a concussion should be treated seriously, he shouldn't play if the Doc says he shouldn't play.

Obviously I'd love to have Revis play but with the state of the Steelers O line this should be a game where our D line can get to the QB often. If we get the pass rush we saw in the preseasaon. Pouha healthy on the line. We won't need to cover all day which will make Revis not playing a little bit less noticeable. I'd love to have him play because I could see him getting a pick this game with Ben forcing the ball.

Steelers D doesn't look all that impressive either. Looked very old. Harrison coming back if he does play against the Jets should help them a lot.

    This.

Best thing the Jets can do now is make sure Revis is functional for the game Sunday. Second best thing they can do is talk about uncertainty for Revis playing so the Steelers might practice with the belief he won't be there and Big Ben will have an extra target.
