Very disconcerting. I was expecting much more after what I saw in preseason, but hopefully it's still early and it will improve over time.

I also didn't hear anything out of Coples today aside from that one tackle.

Im not too worried. The only thing Fitzpatrick is good at is getting the ball out in a hurry. Its hard to sack him.

Buffalo took the least amount of sacks last season.

Fitzpatrick is good at getting the ball out...

Guess you missed him getting pummelled as he released the ball every single throw in the first half leading to 3 INT's. You're truly hopeless.

I think what he is referring to is the fact that they had no sacks. Now the question to ask was is it because there was no pash rush or because Fitzpatrick got rid of the ball really quickly. Fitzpatrick took some good shots that probably would be sacks for teams that don't run the spread offense.

Stat sheets don't say the full story.

He took a lot of very good licks. I liked that - and thought that was more than enough.

The pass rush wasn't great, but it wasn't nonexistent. We got some good hits on Fitzpatrick in this game, even if the sacks weren't there. Fitzpatrick did a good job of getting the ball out early. I don't recall too many times where he was camped out there for 4+ seconds. If he did hold onto the ball close to that long, he was about to get drilled by someone.

Maybe it's because you suck at watching football? I'm starting to realize this about you.

I saw pressure on Fitz all day long. Did they sack him? No. Did they pressure him into causing turnovers? Multiple times. I'll take 3 picks and no sacks over 3 sacks and no picks any day of the week.

The line put plenty of pressure on the Bills, they just didn't give you the easy-pickins version of idiot football stats to brag about. Woe is you.

We may not have gotten any sacks but the D shut down Jackson and hit Fitz a bunch of times.

we don't have the personal for a consistent pass rush. Coples will be good, but he's an DT, you should expect 3-6 sacks from him, but more than anything, he'll provide pocket pressure. until the jets draft a pass rushing OLB (to replace turtle/Pace), we won't be consistent. we won't be anemic either.

Once Coples got that roughing the passer penalty, he was given the hook for the rest of the game. He's still the best player we have as far as getting in the opponents backfield.

Once he improves it'll make our pass rush dynamic.

I didn't see any times where Fitz had ALL DAY to throw like we saw happen last year in many games. It was more like Rex's 2009 defense where we were able to push the pocket a little, get some hits on the quarterback, and not let him go through his reads. If we can force opposing QBs to throw to their first reads against our secondary, we we will be in great shape.

Once we get some book end OLB's this defense is gonna be stout

With our cap space next year I hope we sign one and draft one

Sione didn't play and Fitz gets rid of the ball quickly. Fitz took hits on tons of plays. Next week if we can't sack Big Ben who holds onto the ball forever, that is concerning

Leave it to a Jet fan to find a smear of shit in a field of roses.
I myself are just trilled to death that they crushed the Bills.
Nothing else really matters at this point.

Fitz gets the ball out quick, but they were in his face forcing those hideous throws.

We got a ton of pressure; pressure doesn't always translate into sacks, but pressure does lead to quarterbacks making bad decisions.
