... finally, free from the evil clutch that is Brian Schottenheimer. Of course, QBR is not the end-all, be-all stat of a QB performance barometer but... 123.4 QB Rating, you hear me!? 123.4!!!!!!!! Sanchez NEVER had that under Schottenheimer. Damn, I was expecting the "detox" to take longer than the scanty preseason snaps. I was pleasantly surprised. P.S. Sanchez was throwing nearly 10 yards a pop, with ungodly 11% TD ratio while posting well below 5% INT ratio (all of which are HoF QB rating criteria)
I had my doubts, but nacho played a great game. He had time to throw, his receivers were able to create space, and Sparano called the right plays. Eat shit Peter King.
It was great to see him get off to a good start with Tebow in the mix. Takes away a lot of the questions about whether than can work. He did have a few particularly good games with Schotty though. The numbers he put up today looked almost exactly like the numbers he had against the Pats when he beat Tom Brady in the playoffs.
Austin Howard is actually an NFL RT. That's another huge revelation for the Jets and the offense. They went from having a turnstile at RT to having a blocker. What a difference that makes.
Definitley a good look. Would have been higher still if not for the regrettable shovel pass INT in the first quarter. But the number that really tells the story for me is 9.85... which was his yards per attempt. The beauty of today's performance is they went vertical often and he was still extremely efficient.
Great day for Sanchez !!!! Awesome. He is already reaping the benefits from dumping shotty, and picking up Sparano, Hill & Tebow - This all worked to perfection!!!
This is his year! This game told an awesome story the way sanchez was intercepted so early in the game, media were probably already going crazy, creating some corny headlines about tebow taking over and whatever When all the hope seemed lost, comes our defense and intercepts the ball back, showing they have sanchez's back, from there on, it was amazing
I don't think he was pressured even once. So much for buffaloes vaunted pass rush. Where was Mario Williams anyway, did he even play?
Sanchez rocked it like I predicted he would , awesome game and so sweet you guys get to rub it in the N.Y. Post's face and all the analyst like Boomer who predicted utter doom .
That stood out to me as well, I just kept saying he looks like he has time to actually make reads. Other then a few high throws and the INT he played almost as good as I have seen him play. I don't think this was his best game but it's up there. Now he just needs to be more consistent and I think this team will reap the rewards of that.
Mark over threw #10 down the right sideline for a TD.....other than that, he had a great game. Even the shovel pass was right at Cumberland, just that Cumberland never thought he'd be getting the ball. Bounced right off his hands.
