jeter pops up. nice job Yanks, gutsy small ball 5 run rally that started with a one out walk by Swisher.
walks are the most vile and dangerous thing in baseball. this will hurt if the yanks
pull this one out in the end, time for me to twist a fatty and calm the hell down.
it was looking hopeless. great job Pinstriped ones!

ouch , ouch, fuckin' ouch. Man, Jones almost broke the whole stadium
with that shot. 2 strikes on him too. that pitch looked right down the pipe with
no action on it. tough to take after that beautiful griity top of the 8th.
damnit!! at least the yanks have their 2,3, and 4 hitters coming up for the top of the 9th.
man on first now, shit, don't go down by more than 1 guys, get this shit over with Robertson.
Jake, do you have the same pain in your neck as i do right now?

i'll give credit to the O's, they answered back with a roundhouse slug
to the Yankees face, two home runs and a single.
you guys ever see the movie 8 Men Out? It remnds me of
when Lefty on the White Sox threw the last game in the first inning as he was forced to do since the gamblers threatened his wife. The White Sox manager comes out disgusted
and says "It didn't take you long did it Lefty?"
Robertson got jackrolled. Now another home run for the O's.
Are we watching the young upstarts from Baltimore begin a new era in the AL East?
This is an impressive bashing and comeback after their disatrous top of the 8th.
Sick game, disappointing at the very ;east, but still sick to watch.
Fuck!! Hopes are dashed at the moment. Maybe the Pinstripes launch another
rally in the top of the 9th, that's if they ever get to the 9th, at this rate the Orioles may be batting until breakfast tomorrow.

    :drunk:

    ....

Still not over, but this is brutal. Would be funny if "Experts" now complain how Orioles are too reliant on the homerun. But thats only a complaint if the Yankees do it. If other teams do it, it's taking advantage

the yanks have been subpar at best with runners in scoring position this year,
but i know what you're saying.
The O's have what, is it 6 home runs tonight? What an assault,
Displaced, the Yanks are gonna start a rally, let us pray. What weird game
    this one is.

awfully tough night, yesterday thankfully has them tied still.
i don't want to see the yanks have to go down by more than 1 game,
tampa gained a half game is now only two out as well.
us spoiled yankee fans are now more uncertain than ever on what's to happen.
i gotta say it is fun when things are tight like this, of course i'd rather win
without blowing a ten game lead, byt we;ll see how tough the boys are now,
luckily for me, they have come through more often than not in my 47 years on this planet
how about a nice 3 game streak? and if they can take 2 of the next 3, they still have a 1 game lead on the O's.
The O's looked like the O's of '96 when i think they had 7 or 8 guys with 20 plus home runs. many of them had over 30 on that team.

Phil Hughes is out so I can now say I had no idea he would pitch this well.

Glad to see them respond after a tough loss last night. These next 2 games are crucial.

So runners on first and third with Tex up with one out top of the ninth. Yanks down 1. Tex slides into first trying to beat the double play. Tex slid so far his elbow and almost chest were on the base when the ball hit the glove of the first baseman. Clear as day safe and the ump gunned him out. That's a huge call since it would be a tie game if the correct call was made

That was one of the worst blown calls at first I've ever seen. Wow. Just... wow.
