    1) Isaako Aaitui, NT from the Dolphins & UNLV
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaako_Aaitui

    Chris J. Nelson ‏@phinsspotlight
    @nyjetscap Aaitui is a nice claim by you guys. He had a good preseason and is a prototypical 3-4 nose. #Dolphins #Jets

    Taking Dixon's place. We're loaded on inside only guys now with Pouha, DeVito, Ellis, Harrison and Aaitui.

    2) Clyde Gates, WR, Dolphins
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_Gates

    Brian Costello ‏@BrianCoz
    From what I'm hearing, Gates will remind Jets fans of David Clowney #nyj

    Wow, this would be interesting... also to see whose place he woud take.
    Most similar guy would have to be Schilens, most expendables probably Landolt and Bellore. But DB Allen gets cut.

    3) Konrad Reuland, TE, 49ers
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konrad_Reuland

    Eric Branch ‏@Eric_Branch
    Former #49ers TE Konrad Reuland has been claimed off waivers by the Jets, per source.

    Brian Costello ‏@BrianCoz
    Reuland went to Mission Viejo HS with Sanchez as @dphudson52 pointed out #nyj

    Our new blocking TE? Definitely taking Epps place on the roster.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ganaway -> claimed by Rams
    Tevaseu -> claimed by Colts

    Kind of surprised that this happened. Not trying to knock Isakko and I know nothing about his game. Just thought Jets were content with the depth they had on DL & also was happy with Damon Harrison as bottom of the depth chart there.

    When will all the pickups through waivers throughout the league be announced? I'm curious to see where Cooley & some of the FB wind up.

    Cooley was a FA and a veteran so he doesn't go through the waiver process (I think, 80% sure). I think the claims have to be in by 4 PM but not sure as some will be reported earlier.

    I'm glad they are addressing our greatest weakness... the defense. :breakdance:

    Undrafted out of UNLV, Aaitui had a strong preseason, registering four tackles and a sack. He'll provide depth behind Sione Pouha and Kenrick Ellis after Gang Green cut Martin Tevaseu.

    Clyde Gates and Konrad Reuland don't really get pulses racing.

    Gates is fast (4.3) but had hamstring issues during camp. Sounds like a perfect fit for our hamstring challenged WR corp.

    Jets claim Wide Receiver Clyde Gates

    Nice addition, hes a speedster and could provide some depth to this team who has limited deep threats.

    We will pick up everyone else's garbage. Can't we ever just keep what we have and develop it? The grass is always greener in somebody else's yard for Mr T.

    5'11" 4.37 speed. Whoppy de doo. Like our last receiver will ever catch a ball anyway. What is the purpose in this. Holmes, Hill, Kerley, Turner plus the TE and RBs get some balls first. Like a kid in the candy store making claims. We will claim more players than anyone else. Who are the good teams claiming. Can't we learn how successful teams do business?

    I don't hate it, because I'm pretty sure Epps is worthless. I don't see the point of it either.

    Keep in mind the Jets have the 16th waiver selection. Good players like Ware and Moore were probably long gone by 16.
