Assuming you are not trolling (big assumption) what exactly is gained by cutting him?
and are you cutting him because he had a lower completion percentage than Sanchez? because he had more total yards and more first downs in same amount of drives, same points generated and same amount of turnovers , as it stands he could be a 1000 yard rusher at halfback or fullback, why cut him?

(and I am not saying he is better than Sanchez! I am addressing the reasons he should be cut or not)

This thread shouldn't be about bashing tebow

It should be about bashing the attention whore who's name sounds like a codeword for erect penis

Wait, how can that be? The Tebow Haters Society has told us again and again that the only reason the Gators were so dominant during the Tebow years was because of all the talent he had around him on those teams. Now you're saying he was better than all them? Which is it?

You know that Godwin's Law about Hitler getting mentioned in a thread being likely? Every thread eventually becomes a Tebow-bashing thread.

    I have been clear.

Sanchez is a better QB than Tebow
Tebow is a real play maker with a big upside.
Neither has done squat in the pre season. (Sanchez has a better completion percentage, Tebow has more yards and first downs, even in everything else)
Sporano could be the real culprit for the ineptitude.

BTW yours was a typical "CVAL" post, devoid of any contribution to the forum.

Come on Cowboys fan you say Sanchez is better literally but then proceed to say why Tebow is better.

Tell me and I will drop this why is Mark better than Tebow what as a QB make him better than Tebow. Then can you tell me when Tebow will be better than Sanchez?

You can answer this I will believe you promise.

I've never been of the opinion that what Tebow did in college wasn't genuinely his ability to dominate at the college level in an option offense.

Brad Smith was a pretty dominant mobile college QB at Missouri also. Scott Frost ran the option about as well as it can be run at Nebraska. Colt Brennan threw for 5,559 yards and 58 TD's in 2006.

None of these guys were cut out to be NFL QB's. They were absolute top end at what they did in college but the NFL is on a different plane than college football.

    Why is Tim Tebow different?

Is it because he has better passing skills than the guys above?

Is it because he has an innate understanding of pro offenses that makes him good?

Is it because he's good enough to warrant completely changing the offense around to conform to his talents and abilities?

No, it's because he's an outspoken Christian advocate who improbably won a national title in a conference where other teams were expected to do that.

Great player in college. Genuine media phenomenon based on his beliefs. Not an NFL QB.

It's too bad for us as Jets fans that Woody Johnson has fallen under his spell. That doesn't bode well for us in the immediate future.

I was with you right up until the end. If you go back and read some of Tebow's pre-draft scouting reports, almost every single one of them said that while he had areas that needed to be worked on, he was definitely someone that teams would want.

This was largely based on his "intangibles", and that is one of the things that separated him from guys like Colt Brennan. The only thing that his Christianity has to do with it, is how it forms/influences those intangibles. He could be a Buddhist or an Atheist and if his intangibles were still the same, many teams would have drafted him.

Name the last guy drafted at QB in the first round based on his intangibles and not his skill set.

Name the last QB who came out of college with Tebow's intangibles. :)

If you want to argue that McDaniels was wrong in taking Tebow in the 1st, that's fine. A case could easily be made. BUT, if McDaniels had passed on him, another team would have picked him up later. It's not like he was going to go undrafted.

Vince Young. He was the 3rd overall pick in 2006. He is also currently unemployed, and was a better passer than Tebow from the start.

Young doesn't have anywhere near the leadership abilities or mental toughness Tebow has. So your answer to the question..."Name the last QB who came out of college with Tebow's intangibles"... is incorrect.

What is your point? Vince Young has been a QB in the NFL for 6 years now. He was drafted considerably higher than Tebow and was thought to have similar skills.

Please find one post where I say Tebow is better than Sanchez. You wont be able to because i never said it. You will find many post where I say Sanchez is better than Tebow as a QB.

I don't know why I even bother to answer your questions because you obviously never read my post past the first sentence but I'll give it one last shot(and I do mean last, I will never answer you again if you keep saying the same thing over and over and over after I explain it) .....Tebow will be better than Sanchez if Sporano's total incompetence prevents the offense moving forward and the only way to make big plays is on broken runs or ad lib spread option plays . He will also, statistically, probably be better in high pressure late game situations.

Does that make Tebow a better QB than Sanchez? no it doesn't. It makes him better in situational plays which , oh by the way, Rex Ryan agrees with me on. So argue with Rex.

Well, for starters, the above is a false dilemma logical fallacy that is based upon facts not in evidence. I would suggest that he was drafted as a QB in the first round based upon his intangibles and his skill set - like most QB's drafted in the 1st round. Maybe you should go back and do a little reading on some of the things that Josh McDaniels said post draft about why he drafted Tebow where he did, based upon what he saw of Tebow when he went, under the radar, to work him out in Florida before the draft.

Vince Young wasn't remotely as good of a passer throughout his college career as Tebow was. His best year QB rating was pretty close to Tebow's worst year QB rating and even in that year Tebow was a more efficient passer.

Their rushing numbers are much closer to each other than their passing numbers, although Tebow scored 12 more TD's (only as a starter, if you add in his freshman year he had 20 more rushing TD's than Young).

As far as passing in the NFL, Vince Young has a better career completion % than Tebow, but Tebow has been a way more efficient QB, with a higher % of TD's and a lower % of INT's. Tebow threw as many TD's in 3/4 of a season last year as Vince Young ever threw in an entire season in his NFL career to date.

So, I'd love to see your reasoning (yes, I'm just kidding, of course I know you don't have any reasoning) as to why you think Vince Young was a better passer. Other than because you said so.

Him comparing VY's intangibles to Tebows is just disrespectful.

But good stats to back up the facts. Waiting for someone to say you cherry-picked them.
