Guys, how many of you are sick of hearing every last sports talk fool say the Jets are gonna suck this year? Every single last one of them says the same exact thing like they all got the same memo! "The Jets don't have this" and "The Jets don't have that" and "The Jets don't have any receivers" and "The runningbacks are no good" and "The offensive line sucks" and "The plays are no good" and "They're gonna be 5-11" and on and on and ON! All they do is fawn over the Patriots and talk up the Bills like they're the second coming of the 1975 Steelers or something... Man I hope the Jets come out in Week 1 and just DESTROY the Buffalo Bills! I hope they hang 40 points on the Bills and shut these fools up already! I am sick of this! THE JETS ARE NOT A BAD TEAM!!!
Ever wonder why these guys say the same common things? Just sayin. Is there a conspiracy, or do they really think that? Proving somebody wrong is good motivation in this sport, I would think.
I don't think any of them has an original thought in their heads... Plus, they're COWARDS! None of them has the balls to break away from the pack and express an original opinion. They hear one guy say something then repeat it over and over again. Like I said, I hope the Jets come out in Week 1 and just DEMOLISH the Buffalo Bills. Then we can all laugh while they try to say they knew the Jets were a good team all along. lol!
If you're looking for any sort of domination of sorts, like 40+ points a game, you have the wrong team. The only domination that is going to take place on this team is the defense via a shutout.
We do not know that bro, nobody knows that, not from some stupid preseason games we don't. We haven't seen everything the Jets are bringing to the table, and we don't know if they'll re-sign Plaxico either. We don't know lots of things, and neither do the sports talk fools. They've been wrong so many times before I lost count. None of their predictions ever come true either. None of the teams they pick to go to the Superbowl make it there at the end of the day. Hope the Jets prove 'em all wrong AGAIN!
Our offense should be better than last season. Biggest issue was our OL and we saw that since Hunter is not longer a Jet, the OL played really good the other day and gave ton of time to Sanchez. Receivers were getting open on almost every play as sanchez completed most of his passes. The ones he missed were either drops, or slightly overthrow etc. Passing game was the biggest concern and I believe we fixed it with a new RT and a speedy WR that can get behind safeties. It will open up the run game as well and in essence, the play action. What we saw was that we can attack the safeties, so they wouldn't be in the box as often as last year, daring us to go deep (which we didn't). It affected the run game. The only thing I took out of the meaningless preseason games was that our off season moves will make us a better team than last year. And if we can better our 8-8 record, there's a good chance we'll in to double digit wins and a playoff birth.
If that's so then why aren't they negative about the Giants? Why don't they pick apart every last reason the Bills season can go south in a hurry? How about the fact that Brady has been put on his butt a few times in the preseason already? Why don't they rip the Packers apart and dissect all their problems and spew it out on the airwaves? No! It's only THE JETS! This is just the kind of underdog thing that has always motivated this team in the past. The Jets were supposed to suck in '09 and '10 too weren't they? Can't wait to hear these guys when the Jets are like 6-2 at the break...

it's easy for radio hosts and/or analysts to rip on the jets because they're the sexy team right now in a sense that they grab the headlines. most of them are probably wrong(i hope).
You know what I think? I think they ARE wrong... I think this offense is going to score pretty well this year. And the defense? I think the Jets are going to have a suffocating defense. You won't be able to go deep on them (Cro/Revis) and the D-line will be chasing and sacking the QB all day long. How strange would it be if THIS was actually the Jets year? If this defense turns out to be a powerhouse shutdown defense and the offense actually hangs some decent points on the board? Nobody thought it could happen in '68 either... Not a soul thought the Jets had a chance back then... Seems like it's a bad idea not to give the Jets a chance, and that is exactly what they are doing.
The other day, Jon Gruden said he expects more than 8 wins from the Jets. I'll take a Super Bowl-winning head coach's opinion when it comes to evaluating football teams over Merrill Hoge and Skip Bayless.
I think they are justified in their commentary. I hope they are wrong I've been a Jets fan ever since I can remember, but let's face it nothing is going to happen again this year. From Woody,front office,the Tebow move,Rex, it's a total F'n mess. I deserve to get laughed at by my friends who are Giant's Fans.

I can see the Jets rolling out to a 3-0 start, and i give them a decent shot at both the 49ers and Patriots (if they are still having o-line struggles). I have been impressed with Sanchez in interviews, and i think he is playing with alot of confidence right now. He made some great throws the other night.
