Not sure this close-to-the-vest strategy is genius for Rex Ryan. Why exactly don't you practice the wildcat in the preseason? It's not exactly a revolutionary scheme for defenses, but it would help to see how the team works it into a drive. I'm just going by the last two years. There ain't anything special coming for the regular season. All we can is hope that Sanchez has a great game in the opener to boost his confidence.
They're not saving anything. The offense sucks and now they know it, but they will continue to sugar coat it. What you saw from Sanchez the last 3 games is what you're going to see in a couple weeks. The O-line sucks, Greene sucks, Holmes doesn't give a shit and Sanchez is a 54% thrower and that wont change.
Sanchez was close to 70 percent in completion percentage . Its a new offense. You expected to see them do anything vs the Giants? I need to quit the internet soon
So Sanchez 24/35 in the preseason which is 68.5% throwing. Those are the last 3 games. So we should expect that right? But then you say Sanchez is a 54% thrower and that won't change. But wait you said the last 3 games is what were getting ->68.5% but then you said he won't go over 54%. So I have to ask the question, did you watch the 3 preseason games or are you just talking expecting nobody to call out your contradiction? You guys are priceless...you know what the touchdown total for the team with the most points during this season right now? ZERO. Thats right. Zero. The season hasn't started yet folks. PLEASE relax. I implore you.
Hypocrisy If you don't care about the preseason, why are you then reacting to the aforementioned preseason?
"What you saw from Sanchez the last 3 games is what you're going to see" That's you. You obviously care about the preseason unless you don't remember what you wrote 20 minutes ago or don't feel like scrolling up. Add in you are responding to a thread about the preseason, you either a) care about the preseason and are overreacting without logical thinking about what you are writing so you are contradicting yourself left and right b) are about 7 months late with a post from the beginning of January.
Just because I dont care doesnt mean I cant make my comment. I know this mess with the offense is going to carry over to the regular season, thats why I'm pissed. I dont care if its a new OC and offense. They are professional football players, stop making excuses and produce already.
I think this is a good question. One thing you have to consider is that the Jets schedule appears considerably more difficult in the first 7 games of the season than it does the last 9. Of course that can always change - things change quickly in this league. 1 Sep 09 BUF @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 711 2 Sep 16 NYJ @ PIT Heinz Field 4:25 PM Tickets CBS 715 3 Sep 23 NYJ @ MIA Sun Life Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 710 4 Sep 30 SF @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 706 5 Oct 08 HOU @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 8:30 PM Tickets ESPN 6 Oct 14 IND @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 709 7 Oct 21 NYJ @ NE Gillette Stadium 4:25 PM Tickets CBS 712 8 Oct 28 MIA @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 710 9 Bye 10 Nov 11 NYJ @ SEA CenturyLink Field 4:05 PM Tickets CBS 712 11 Nov 18 NYJ @ STL Edward Jones Dome 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 712 12 Nov 22 NE @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 8:20 PM Tickets NBC 13 Dec 02 ARI @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 707 14 Dec 09 NYJ @ JAC EverBank Field 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 711 15 Dec 17 NYJ @ TEN LP Field 8:30 PM Tickets ESPN 16 Dec 23 SD @ NYJ MetLife Stadium 8:20 PM Tickets NBC 17 Dec 30 NYJ @ BUF Ralph Wilson Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 710 You also have to consider that installing the new offense will likely take some time to really click. Are Sparano and Ryan trying to catch the more difficult early schedule off guard with some things? Obviously they haven't shown any "wildcat" stuff but how much of the offense could that really be? Are they installing something different than the wildcat and calling it wildcat to catch people off guard? Having all the starting receivers/TE's is one thing we haven't really seen yet. I mean we had Holmes and Kerley on a snap count last night and one snap of Dustin Keller. I do think the offense will be much better at the end of the season than the beginning of the season as the players gain confidence in the system and each other. Hopefully they do have something up there sleeves to catch teams off guard and help get over the early season hump.
Didn't you get the memo? This offense is the 21st century version of "The Greatest Show on Turf" and all the talk about the G&P was just a smokescreen..Sheesh

I got 5 wins (thought i'd only find 3 or 4). Dfense can't tackle. Ofense can't block. Receivers can't catch. Runners can't rush. QB's.... can't change any of that......
Wait a second I thought the season was over and the Jets went 0-16 to follow-up on their 1-15 record from the year before? Now you are telling me that is not the case and preseason does not count? The next thing your going to try to tell me is that Tebow did not win the Superbowl last year then I really know you are lying.
