I also just saw some Patriots fan chick they showed in the stands. She was smiling and you could see a big ol' empty where her back teeth are supposed to be. I mean - good god. I have fairly light standards on women, but one of them HAS to be molars.
Tom Brady has been pressured all night and has taken some tough shots. They're getting beaten at both ends of the line. One of those pressures was taken for a pick-six. Of the two swinging gates on the line, one of them - Solder - they had pegged as a starter to replace their retired ProBowl left tackle.
Solder had a really good game. You obviously didn't pay attention to his play, and you are just making assumptions based on the fact that the OL gave up a lot of pressure as a unit. I just finished re-watching every single one of Solder's pass-pro plays in the first half to confirm my initial impressions, and he was absolutely not a liability. He played well against #94, and stifled #97 over and over again. The only pressure I saw that he was mainly responsible for was a LB blitz that he didn't recognize quickly enough. Other than that, almost 100% of the pressure on Brady was coming from the right side or up the middle.
well the middle used to be the book on how to rush brady. the giants used that big time in their first win over the pats in the SB. me thinks this may be the first year some of the shine comes off brady and the pats. finally. i just don't see them performing at the highest level again this year. yes they will be 11-5 but it wont be a cruise control type of year.
griff whalen of the colts looks good - worth keeping an eye on if he gets moved to the practice squad.
