Wesley Walker says hello to both of you.

I don't think it's debateable btw Wesley and maynard, Toon you can make an argument but I'll take Toon over Walker. I liked them as a duo.

    Wesley Walker & Al Toon

Plus Mickey Shuler who also was a good blocking TE. O'Brien was a human statue and he also took a lot of sacks because he hung on to the ball too long.

I used to call it "The Praying Mantis Position." Pocket collapses, down we drop on our knees.

To think of all the checks I wrote out to the NY Jets for season tickets during those years.

Let's be honest here, Kenny O did hold the ball way too long but adding guys like Mike Haight, Dave Cadigan and Jeff Criswell the walking holding penalty didn't help.

It's a shame, he had many of the tools to be a very good QB but as others have pointed out mobility really sealed his fate. If I remember correctly he won the 1st ever NFL QB Challenge. Another in the long line of woulda coulda shoulda for this team.

Tremendous reference. Made me laugh and cry at the same time. Criswell was the drizzling sh*ts.

Like Chad he was great until his limitations became apparent. Only 2 Jet QB's have lead the NFL in passer rating and both of them did it the first time that the job was handed to them on a full-time basis.

It almost makes you wonder, were guys like Criswell and Cadigan that dam awful or did Kenny O make them look that way? No, they sucked.

That's interesting, did not think of that. Pretty amazing if you think about it.

That was a real frustrating era with those guys. I think Coslet could have worked out if he had some better players earlier. I hated the way the Jets handled it with O'Brien and Boomer, it was disgraceful actually, considering what a class act O'Brien was for so long.

Haight was awful, Cadigan and Criswell eventually became pretty good OL. Blair Thomas averaged 5 YPC as a rookie behind those guys.
