I'd rather we stay away from Bustice. He seems like another Hunter from what I've read, and $3mil is a lot. That would make it $6mil at the RT spot, and we still wouldn't have a starting caliber RT.
they drafted their starting left tackle (Castonzo who apparently is doing well) and their right guard (Ijalana - who spent nearly all of last year injured, has next to no experience and is recovering from a torn ACL). the back-up for Justice is a guy called Linkenbach who was a UDFA and is apparently pretty poor. I agree none of us know wtf is going on with the colts I just hope we are not stupid enough to give Wilson away for next to nothing.

I just got a text from a buddy who says the trade rumours are swirling and the Lions are in the mix for Wilson trading a RT Gosder Cherilus.

If we can get a nice RT for Wilson Im all for a trade. However, he'll be ready to step in opposite Revis once Cro's contract is up. I think RT is such a huge need that we need to take at look at any and all possible trades for a RT..
Cro has another 2 seasons after this season right? Thats a little early to be planning on his replacement.

who would that be for? Their RTs are basically: - their #1 draft pick from '08 Cherilus - if that's on offer then fine but it seems massively unlikely - in fact, beyond unlikely. - a 6th rounder they traded from Indy who has started a whole 5 games in his 5 year career - I couldn't see that happening, he is a guy that was waived a couple of times and signed off a practice squad.

Guy brought up Derek Sherrod of GB. They're pretty solid upfront and have a few older guys in the secondary. Might be a good fit.
I don't understand this recent, I don't want to say hate, not the right word, but lack of respect for Wilson. He is turning out to be a really good corner and has potential to be a great CB. He has shown to have great man coverage skills and Revis has given Wilson a lot of praise and that's enough for me. I wouldn't be totally against trading Cro for a quality RT because Wilson will probably be a better man to man cover corner than Cro is. Wilson is a better fit for our defense than Cro, although I do like Cro. I don't want to trade Cro but if we get a great deal and he is in it, I won't be totally disappointed.
