We don't have an average offense. Right now it is below average. So far below average we are ranked 31st in the NFL.

I'm not too terribly worried. We've looked this bad before and gone on to the AFC Championship Game. But I'd really like us to be able to improve on that and go to the Super Bowl. Kinda disappointing we can't start the pre-season off on the right foot instead of worrying about the offense again.

I was worried when we picked up Tony Sparano. The Dolphin fans were over here on our forums congratulating us for picking up a horrible coach. I would have liked us to have picked up an offensive guru for OC instead. We'll see what happens but so far I'm not impressed.

Keeping Wayne Hunter. The reason the Jets sunk from borderline average to well below average. It incentivized apathy at the position when we should've been trading up in the draft to take or signing a RT.

at this stage i would give up a future pick for a decent RT, its that important to our season.

Parcells was still w/ the organization but he allowed groh to run the draft which was why we had such a good draft compared to the 3 previous medicore drafts.

He did sign vinny, He made no decision to keep Chrebet, Wayne was already an established player here when BP inherited the team.

I'd rather have more postseason success than reg season success. I'll take a down year or 2 b/c of QB injuries, we were better than SD the last decade despite SD playing in a much weaker division where they were almost guaranteed a playoff spot every year.

    Playoff wins and apps 2002-2011:

    NE: 13 wins, 8 apps
    Pitt: 11 wins, 7 apps
    Ind: 9 wins, 9 apps
    Bal: 5 wins, 6 apps
    NYJ: 5 wins, 5 apps
    SD: 3 wins, 5 apps

    5th out of 16, that's average?

Who cares if anyone remembers us? I remember, I have great memories. I don't let others define whether I enjoy teams or not. We haven't reached a SB yet but you can't get to one w/o making the playoffs and we have never made it as consistently as we have the last decade. bad luck had a dynasty team in our deivision along w/ the best QB in the game. There was nothing we could do about that.

He didn't bring in Chad, Groh did and where would we have been in that era w/o Mo lewis, marvin Jones, keyshawn, Chrebet, Jumbo, Brady, Green, Glenn, Coleman, etc...?

BP inherited a very talented roster and had the #1 overall pick yet still screwed it up and left us in cap hell when he left.

You must think the Giants were average winning 9 games last year.

Face it, Sparano was not our offensive coordinator. Stop posting this garbage and stop making it easier to call Dolphins fans retards.

Its preseason and stats can be made to look like anything you want (especially after what amounts to 3/4 of one game - if that). Not saying that 4.7 would be acceptable in the regular season over many samples, but the 4.7 YPA is right in line with Carson Palmer. It's also higher than other starters like Tom Brady, Josh Freeman, Aaron Rodgers, Jake Locker, Kevin Kolb, and Michael Vick - and our own Tim Tebow.

well the jets are doing their best to reincarnate ken obrien and their offensive line from the mid-late eighties with the current plan.

On the bright side there is no where else to go but up. I hope the Jets are just hiding their super top secret offense and on week 1 we unleash fury on the Bills. But I doubt it.

The fact that we haven't had Holmes, kerley or tebow(in his regular role) w/ the first team offense tells us they haven't shown anything yet. This O isn't going to be the GB O but it's not going to be the '95 Jets either.

It's very simple, if the Oline comes out and plays this way in the regular season we are looking at 2007 all over again with the same results at QB. Sanchez will be carted off the field (see Pennington), fans will cheer, Tebow will get the start (see Clemens) and will get his brains beaten out for the remainder of the year and the Jets season will go down in flames in a hurry.

Something has to be done RIGHT NOW to get this Oline playing like an NFL Oline. Like RIGHT NOW!

I hope Holmes and Kerley are the difference makers. But I'll just have to reserve judgement.

Holmes obviously is a difference maker and we expect Teboq to be. The only disturbing part of preseason has been the play of the OL. That cannot continue into the reg season and expect the O to be good enough but we have enough weapons to succeed it's just most of them haven't been on the field together.

We are not depending on them to be all pro players but that's 2 starters down and tebow not in our first team offensive packages. all 3 guys are expected to contribute and none have had the chance yet- do you think our O will be better once we get those 3 in the lienup?

You can say that about any position where you don't have a star playing. Holmes has been a difference maker and Kerley who had a decent rookie season is expected to improve. Not to mention our biggest criticism so far other than RT has been the play calling which means dick in the preseason.

They should re-sign Plaxico. That would leave them maybe $4 million to get a starting RT with. I think those two things would have them ready on opening day.

    ^ No.

Plus any RT they get at this point that can play will be via trade because none of the ones cut or are sitting on the couch will warrant 4 or 6 mill.

I'm guessing they trade Shonn Greene and Kyle Wilson or 1 of the above, with picks for a starter RT.

Tanny has to know he's in hot water and if he can't get a RT, he's signing his own pink slip.
