How does the Giants 3rd string QB have the balls to go deep down the field but Sanchez doesnt? At least try

I thought he meant % wise. He was 9/11 even though the offense was floundering. I didn't love that comment though; he needs to be down on the OL and the RBs right about now, not happy about anything.

Listening to Sanchez talk postgame is like listening to Belichick talk postgame, no real information and totally boring.

Sanchez needs time in the pocket cause his pocket presence is shit.

Either that or roll him out cause he's pretty accurate throwing on the run.

If he's pressured he's terrible with the hot read. It is what it is.

I think he started to get jumpy due to the poor protection. On a few of those sacks he tried to run away from pressure instead of getting the ball out.

i agree talis he has no clue how to handle pressure.

i also almost threw something at the tv as he was late and threw behind guys a number of times. THAT is the difference in the nfl. put the ball where it is supposed to be and you will be fine, throw the ball behind a guy or out in front and its an issue.

sanchez cant seem to consistently put the ball where it needs to be, even on short crossing routes or come backs. he will do it well for a period of time and then starts throwing off target again..

and i dont mean he threw the ball 5 yards over the guys head and it was incomplete, i mean he threw it to the guys back shoulder and he had to turn around to catch it. losing all of his momentum in the process. or he threw it out in front of a guy who was running into a defender.

its just bad quarterbacking, and for him to say he was "hot" is absurd. maybe for a high school qb. but if this kid doesnt realize what it is to be a good nfl qb yet he will never get it.

because sanchez has yet to have a clean pocket...you cant go deep when you have to avoid rushers instantly

Sanchez will make a great backup for a team someday. He should ask David Carr for advice.

Really accurate. Brady has success with those dink and dunk passes like what Sanchez was throwing yesterday because he hits the receiver in stride so they can make something out of the play.

On the int there was no pressure on Sanchez, he just didn' set his feet in the direction he was throwing. He stepped straight up to throw a ball to the right hash. That play was executed perfectly by both the receiver and the TE who picked the defender more than enough to get separation. That play should have been a nice gain as he had room to run if the ball led him.

You don't need forever to throw long. If you read the d properly at the line and the WR is running a fly, you just need to get back 5 steps and put it up.

When Sanchez stepped up in the poket to avoid the rush, he has to know that the ball has to come out then! Find the open read or throw it away.

He wasn't great, but he wasn't awful. Before the interception, I wasn't down on Sanchez, he had NO time to throw. The interception ruined all good feelings from the day.

This and the two top WRs weren't in the game. I guess you can just throw it long to nobody for an incompletion, would that make everyone happy?

Their fastest receiver, Hill, was in the game.

Do we know what kind of routes he was running and what type of coverage he was getting? When Holmes returns he won't be the #1 receiver the D has to cover.

I REALLY want to see Sanchez go vertical - it's bothering me that he doesn't seem to do it anymore. But with the way things are on the o-line and the mash unit WR's right now in the preseason I don't know if it's a valid concern or not.

Sanchez is playing scared there is no question to it. He is constantly looking over his back shoulder because he knows he is about to get smashed. He worked the pocket well last night went 9 for 11.

This kid got murdered last year and clearly hasnt shaked the vision of a few of those hits. If we dont get him some confidence in his Oline this is going to be an ugly season for the kid.

This may be a troll question by why havnt we pushed moore out for a game. I dont remember wayne being this bad when he played inside. I meaan moore seems quick and strong enough.

    smh ^ desperation post

I listened to the interviews of his (the last 2 games) and he SOUNDS like he is trying to be a leader saying its his offense and his huddle. When he says those types of things he doesn't sound convinced of that to me. I think he is threatened by Tebow and knows his days are numbered. Unfortunately the Jets backup QB sucks at being a QB period.

They better get their shit togther on offense. As it sits right now in my mind this team is 5-11 at best. I had them at 7-9, 8-8 before the 1st pre-season game.

And he had about a quarter of NFL experience coming in. If we don't block it's not going to matter who is in at QB, WR, RB or anywhere else. We couldn't pick up 3rd and short, we couldn't pick up 4th and inches and we couldn't protect either QB. If we go with Tebow it's going to be because he can pull the ball down and get some first downs running. Like the year we went with Bollinger instead of Vinny so Vinny wouldn't get killed, then we drafted Brick and Mangold in the first round the next spring.
