I wonder if it will be a premium channel or not, but either way I will certainly be getting it. Great news that should have happened about 5 years ago. Edit: apparently it will be part of various packages. http://www.newsday.com/sports/media...ision-strikes-deal-with-nfl-network-1.3908643
It's about time. It was the one thing that I couldn't stand about Cablevision. Now I just need to switch out all of the boxes in my house for the new Samsung boxes (which are so much better than the crappy Scientific Atlanta boxes).
Please enlighten me. Why are they better and will Cablevision swap them for free? I have the bargain basement cable service so it looks like i'll have to pony up an additional $6.95/month to get the network and redzone. Seems like a no brainer...
You're lucky! I wish I had FiOS in my area. My sister has FiOS where she lives and the PQ is amazing. For a sports fan like myself, the only 2 options are DirecTV and Optimum. I currently have Optimum, but I'm planning to return to DirecTV soon.
The newer Samsung boxes are more responsive, hang less, change channels quicker, and look nicer. I only have one in the house, but it was a regular switch of boxes and they give one of the new ones. Not sure if they're standard issue at this point.
Maybe TW will will feel pressure to sign on now. I think it's the only major cable company without NFLN.
