After 1 preseason game? The ledge jumpers overreacting to nothing is getting out of hand. The FO is being bashed, the offense is being proclaimed inept...This is me pleading with people to get a grip. The Jets FO has put this team in position to compete every single year. They plugged holes on defense people have been crying out. Now we are proclaiming the offense to be useless after 2 series of a preseason game missing 2 WR's and a starting OL, during an install? Come on people. PLEASE I urge you to think logically. That is all.
The Jets are preparing for 2013 season, thats all what it is. We host the Super Bowl next year, thats why we arent signing free agents, we are carrying that money over for next year. By that time to we will know who our QB is to.
What if we were proclaiming the season is dead before the preseason game? Are we allowed to keep doing that or does that preseason game make us all into giggling idiots that have to pretend the teacher's toupe is not slipping off his head?
The Jets havent quit on 2012, but in my eyes they are trying to test the grounds and be ready for 2013. Shonne Greenes contract expires, we need to figure out if he is the long term answer, thats why the Jets didnt go after free agents unlike the last 3 offseasons.
Tanny and Rex can't afford to "test the grounds" for 2013, that's bullshit. In all honesty, I'm sick of people judging shit by one game. Hell I saw the Raiders pre-season game and they looked like complete dog shit - worse than us. Palmer couldn't complete a good pass to save his life. The offensive line couldn't block, WRs were dropping passes on each down. I'm going by what I feel and I still to this day think were going to win 10 or 11 games - Ugly or in Kate Upton fashion
Yeah the Giants just won a superbowl and made us look like fucking jerkoffs, and our plan is to throw this season so we can go all in for 2013
I like our chances this year, im not one of those quitting on this season, but I do expect major moves next offseason.
it's just taken on a whole new level.... The Jets are now glazing over 2012 and making it about 2013.... got it.
Jets "fans" have been declaring the season dead since last season ended, but yeah it's gotten worse since preseason game #1. It just shows you how ridiculously irrational some people are.
When was the last time the Jets front office wasnt agressive AT ALL under Rex Ryan? and if you guys think Yeremiah Bell is such an improvement, your going to learn the hard way he isnt. People seem to forget Keller roasting bell with ease, yet when he comes to the Jets everyone is suddenly confident he can defend the Patriots tight end? LMAO
Someone should let Rex and the players know about that plan. They'll probably be pretty disappointed.
You are seriously mistaken. If you didn't take a clue as of yet, some people were critical of the FO moves during the past off-season (starting with guaranteeing WFH's salary.) Really? WFH turned into starter quality RT overnight or something? If that's the case, I would be the first one to scream out "Hallelujah!!" I've been on T-Bomb's ass for some time, if you didn't notice yet. (Big Blocker will confirm this for you - ask him.) The offense is not proclaimed inept. It IS inept. (Thank the OL for that too by the way; oh, the paper-thin quality of roster is thanks to... right. T-Bomb. That man strikes again.) WRONG. They have been NEGLECTING the DL strength until they had to burn 2 1st round picks back to back. If you wait long enough, you will see Jets drafting OL 3 years in a row; and by then, Ferguson and Mangold would be reaching their respective swansong stage. And we didn't even look at what is going to happen to the QB position, OR RB position either (and the annually-ignored OLB squad). They have been creating unnecessary holes, drafting without clues and that's what is with the Jets now. Again, it is not just ONE measly preseason game that doesn't look good for the Jets. If Jets FO has been doing the right things the past few years and then had one hiccup of a preseason game, who gives a shit? Remember a few years ago, during Pennington era? The OL looked like utter shit. Pennington was getting shellacked in that paltry few plays. How did the line perform during the season? Exactly as seen during the preseason days. Are you telling me THIS OL group can do something radically different? With WFH looming ahead? Just how? (And don't forget the subpar play from Slauson and regressing quality from Moore either.)
Patriots offense is built on route running and timing. If you can disrupt the timing of the Patriots offense, the offense won't be as effective. You know how that happens? My jamming those annoying fucking TEs at the LOS. You think Jim Leonhard could do that? I love the guy, but he's not as physical and Landry and Bell. Bell is an upgrade over Eric Smith, and Landry is a complete upgrade period as he's one of the best inbox safeties in the league. Not to mention we got 2 potential sleepers in Josh Bush and Antonio Allen, both you could argue are better cover safeties than both Pool and Smith. Damn shame you still are clueless on Football tactics Soxxx. Laughing about shit you have no clue about.
Go watch week 3 of 2010 and tell me Bell is good. You guys are clowns. He couldnt even cover keller at all, he lets him score 2 TD'..... And last year the Jets were the #1 redzone team? you think thats happening again? RIGHT.
all i have to say to all of this is at least give it into the season before jumping off a cliff head first...because believe me, if the offense IS in fact inept this season I'll be right there with you. I'm not proclaiming the offense to be world beaters...Alls I'm saying is let the damn season start before freaking the fuck out lol
Go watch the tape and tell me Bell can cover tightends, he is no improvement, hes older and slower and sucks.
