Ok so hardly anything and 99% of Tebow fans are normal level headed fans ....got it , so the crazy extremist are actually on the hater side ...good to know
This will become less and less prevalent as the season goes on I predict. It did in Senver where many Tebow fans(including this one) became huge fans of many of the players in Denver, and the team itself. (however they can burn in 0-16 hell for all I care now ><)
Very good points~ Here is an interesting point for longtime Jets fans concerning Tebow and his following~ If Tebow is here for an extended period of time, it will become one and blend together. Jets fans resent the lack of concern for their team, but at this point the Tebow fans are just being honest about their disregard for the New York Jets. A Tebow fan acting like he is all about the Jets at this point is being phony. I don't think New Yorker's like phonies. If this thing works out for the best, and I think it will, Tebow fans and Jet fans will become synonymous. But at this point he dropped here, so it is wait and see. Look at the power of this individual from this point of view~ He has got this Miami raised, UF graduate rooting for the J,E,T,S,~If you had asked me if I ever thought this was possible I would have called you insane. Do I care about the rest of the team? of course not, I have been rooting against them my whole life, but not anymore. All I have to say is it is going to be one crazy season. I don't see it ending in a Super Bowl victory this season, but if it plays out properly I see #15 running for the winning TD in the snow in the Meadowlands in Feb of 2014. New York sports fans are the most loyal and passionate I have ever seen. I have seen tons of New Yorkers who have lived in South Florida for 20 years or more, still rooting for the Jets, Yankees and such. New Yorkers are going to love Tebow like nobody before,,,,,,,,,,,,,or not..
There's about 2 folks who have even hinted at that. The overwhelming majority of the Tebow fans on this board recognize he's at best a work-in-progress and that Sanchez is hands down the better choice. But whatevs.
Speaking as a T-bot I am looking forward to Tim starting... three years from now when his release is quicker, his footwork is Montana-esque, and he can spin it accurately... somewhere. For now I would like to see Sanchez make the pro bowl, Tim score 7-8 TDs in a supportive role, the defense outperform the 49ers D (class of the NFL last year), and the Jets win the conference sweeping the Patriots in the regular season. Sorry to disappoint the Tebow fan haters, but GO JETS! Oh yeah... :manning:
Whoa now pilgrim, speak for yourself. Some of us are actually team oriented and while we want Tebow to do well, we want that to happen within the framework of the team.
As a tebow fan I can honestly say I like Mark and wish him success... He seems like a really cool guy. Orton on the other hand.... He was a schmuck!
You rooted against Orton right from when Tim got drafted ? Or are you talking about at the beginning of this past season, after Orton sucked out the year before and Denver went 3-13 ? I mean, I'm team oriented, but if Tebow had gone to Jacksonville and the choice was Tebow or Gabbert to start, sure, I'd have said Tebow. And in Denver last year, I didn't think Orton would do shit, and he proved me to be correct in that assessment. But the Jets have a good starting QB, so the dynamic is different, with me at least.
No, actually I didn't root against Orton in 2010. I agreed Tim was a project QB and thought he'd do well to sit for a year or two and learn. I felt bad when they tried to ship Orton out last year and then couldn't. I thought they should've given Tebow the starting job, but I also felt Orton was the better QB at the start of last season. I did think Tebow showed enough in his three 2010 starts to warrant the move to get rid of Orton, and apparently the Broncos did too, but it just didn't happen. And I knew that unless Orton played an entire year like he played the first 6 games of 2010 (something I viewed as extremely unlikely), there was no way he was going to be the Broncos QB, long term. Tebow was the only QB under contract after 2011. Orton wasn't going to come back. Quinn wasn't the answer. There were good arguments for starting Tebow at the beginning of last year, but I could see why the coaches thought Orton "gave them the best chance to win (now)." But once the season started, it was apparent Orton wasn't the answer. After the third game, I just wanted the guy gone, which is what happened.
some of these topics are very interesting . . . . some people need to think of other things to spend their time on
