People on the board have been all over the media for all the negative press/articles regarding the Jets lately. Figured this would be a nice change of pace. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...k-jets-rex-ryan-will-win-a-super-bowl-one-day
Sooner or later I think we will too. You know we will always have a good defense with Rex coaching. If our offense gets it going things will fall our way eventually.
I think we have a solid foundation of young guys on D and one day youll see us be a powerhouse D, someday soon i hope. Were building this up to be the Ravens D of '01 and carry the team, and Sanchez is MUCH better then Dilfer ever was. Think of these names on both sides of the ball: Demario Davis, Mohammad Wilkerson, Quinton Coples, Kenrick Ellis, Aaron Maybin, Ricky Sapp, Kyle Wilson, Antonio Allen, Josh Bush, Stephen Hill, Bilal Powell. This game is all about patience something our fan base doesnt have (dont blame em) but with time great things can come from these guys
That is nice to read for sure. I think we'll win one eventually too, but that's pretty broad. Hopefully with Rex.
The end was the best part I liked the article a lot; it's optimistic but not overly so. It creates a good, hopefully accurate, picture of Rex Ryan as a coach.
Loved the article not everyday you read articles shaded Green and White Rex w/ Defense with a complement offense is the 01 Ravens and that is why we must be excited. If San Fran can go 13-3 w/ Alex Smith + 3 recent 1st Rd OL draft picks. Why can't we with Sanchez and Co.
Problem with Adam is he thinks Tebow should be the Jets starting QB so he words don't matter much to me. I would not let the guy start a high school team, never mind be my backup QB.
Exactley my point, but theyre full of potential so have patience and wait and see, these guy could be great! We have a TEAM not 1 or 2 guys who are great but 11-15 guys who are good and rotate and be just as productive
Im telling you, its no fluke we had those 2 playoff runs. We will be back, I feel we are like the Eagles of the early 2000's, but hopefully when we do make the Super Bowl we actually win it.
He's nuts. At the pace this team is unraveling, he's going to be lucky to make it through the season.
if mark can elevate to the next level, we have a shot. hopefully brady retires way before 42. fuck that guy.
I think Ryan is perfect for the Jets right now. He's in his prime, and has the right MO for the team..... solid defense and ball control offense. F the media, who is trying to break this thing down. As long as the fans, and more importantly Woody, don't change gears he'll get good things done. We def need better QB play to get to that next level though. I hope Sanchez can be that guy or we'll be set back a couple years. Either way, i want the Ryan era to play out to its full extent w/o whimsically switching gears for another approach again. He's the right guy..
I've always liked Adam Schein, he's honest and he doesn't sugar coat things. he's great on SNY, and he doesn't bash the Jets unless it's truly deserving.
I like listening to him on Sirius and find him to be at the very least entertaining, but he needs some new catch phrases ... "what is this ... amateur hour?"
