This my first off season with this team and it's a fucking sitcom! I swear the Jets should have their own show!

The Jets have been so entertaining this off season, I'm wondering has it always been this crazy or is this something new?

I freakin' love this team! It reminds me of a dysfunctional family at thanks giving!

Instead of enjoying a feast and good ol' times with family, there's a turned over dining room table with food all over the floor, a brother in an ambulance with a stab wound and cops in the house with everyone shouting and kids crying!

So I guess my question is, is this a typical Jets off season?

Only since Rex took over. It was more like watching a dog try to hump a rubber duck during the previous years, minus the Parcells regime.

Most of the stuff this off season was due to Tebow being signed. The media loves controversy, so it was easy for the nonsense to happen. Other than that, I don't see the Jets as any different than a lot of teams. I personally like the fact that we have Tebow, as he is significantly better than Brunnell. This will push Sanchez, and make him better, IMO.

Yeah, Tebowmania coming here definitely has upped the amount of drama. I mean they were talking about Tebow literally every day even before he was on our team. But also the past few years they've talked a lot about the Jets, basically since Rex got here like abyz said. So both of those factors have contributed to a very loud offseason.

Also Skicats sweet avatar, I love me some BH. I saw him live last year it was awesome.

In my opinion, the only really nutty thing that has happened this off-season is the fight that happened today, and apparently that kind of thing happens every year around the league.

I personally think that the coverage on all 31 teams are boring, with no difference between them. You can mix and match any NFL team name to the same ol' dry report.

But when they talk about the JETS, you got story lines, plot twists, characters, I love it!

What do you mean your 1st season with the team? Are you 4? How do you switch teams?

It's been an eventful offseason for sure & media attention has picked up ever since Rex became coach. Except for the Saints, I don't think any NFL team came close to generating news & headlines like the Jets.

This offseason was high on the "buzz" even for the Jets. Just thinking about all the headlines is kinda overwhelming. Even the 3rd string QB made major headlines when he described his experiences in the locker room.

    btw,
welcome to the Jets fanbase, it's an exciting ride even when the Jets lose. Be warned though, if it's only your first year with the team .... you've still got time to reconsider. These forums are full of humor, anguish & anger.

I don't view this off season any more loaded with drama than the "Hard Knocks" off season. That was fairly entertaining.

Well said. I've been cursing my dad's name for years now that he turned me into a Jets fan as a child.

I went from a casual watcher to a full time fan. Last season was my firsf full season of watching this team from begining to end and this is the first off season I've followed in my life!

This year I'll be at 3 games and I'm even going to the draft at radio city! Jets 4 Life!

I like Tebow but I was a fan of this team when he was still a Bronco. Actualy, my favorite is Mark Sanchez, for obvious reasons...

Judging by the date joined, I'm assuming he's a Tebow fan.

(I'm not knocking; just answering the previous posts about the OP's age etc.)

    *edit: Nevermind. haha
