He seemed pretty adamant that he doesn't know what's going on with the Jets. That means that either he's hiding that he's in communication with Rex Ryan or he's not in communication with Rex Ryan.

very good interview! when you read that, you can see why/how he was so successful. he's a no nonsense guy who expected nothing less then 100% from those around him, but he did it in a way that people respected and admired.

the part about OJ Anderson was hilarious!

Parcells is the genuine item. He's a throwback to the days when coaches weren't media-friendly front men who had to manage the team's image as much as its players.

Rex is a great, but damn, I'd give anything to have Parcells back as our coach. He would have won at least one title between 2009 and 2010.

Parcells really went after the interviewer. Great interview.

Parcells is awesome. Started following the team in '98, a lot of respect for him.

he knows much more than he's going to say. he has solid connections with tanny and sporano. i think we would not have the right tackle problem if the tuna was running the team. hunter would be long gone by now.

Commenting on just the Jets related stuff:

I think he is just saying the obvious. Tebow provides the Jets with a kind of change of pace that's not much different (when you think about it) than puting in a "change of pace RB on 3rd down. Using the "ride and decide" offense on the GL also makes sense.....EXCEPT in this sense that puzzles me.

The Jets had the BEST GL offense in the league last season. Its about the only area where the Jets offense shined last season. The question is WHY bring in a guy to play a role where it is impossible for him to be an upgrade? Everything else makes sense except that.

One question I wish the interviewer had asked was, "why didn't you hire Rex, why did you choose Sparano over him.?" He probably wouldn't answer that one directly, but it still would be interesting to hear his honest thoughts.

Plax was the red zone weapon and he is gone. Also, Shotty was the OC last year and he is gone. So, you can't really rely on what was done last year as this year is different.
