Mccoy spent the entire week on interviews for head coaching position. Tebow crapped the bed. Tore cartilage and developed a pneomothorax in his lung. Not to mention it was like 12 degrees with ridiculous wind chill so im sure that must have been painful...I was at that game. Brady merked the broncos defense. I never watched in on TV bc im scared to actually see what happened.
Tebow did what everyone else in the NFL has done, except for the precious giants of course. Bowed down to the patriots.
This isn't the one you are talking about I don't think but it is the first one.... http://www.nfl.com/videos/denver-broncos/09000d5d8252f31d/Patriots-vs-Broncos-highlights
Tebow didn't play well, multiple 3rd down drops, kept trying to run the ball over and over, and the patriots scored at will. I think that sums it up.
Here's a very good (but pretty harsh) rundown of the divisional round loss. http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/gut-reaction-divisional-round-broncos-at-patriots I'm not posting the text as it's a very long rant. But while Tebow was undeniably awful, it truly was a team loss.
Id say part of it could be like what happened to the Jets in 2010. We got all siked for the Patriots and when we beat them, it was almost like a mini SB....then we came out flat in the 1st half vs Pitt. I could see a little of that playing into it.
Still think it had something to do with the 5-2 defense that the Dark Lord ran, and that McCoy didn't really know how to attack it.
I'm not posting the text as it's a very long rant. But while Tebow was undeniably awful, it truly was a team loss.[/QUOTE] That was more opinionated than anything. He didn't account for the dropped passes and they did flush him to the right but on a few occasions. It also doesnt account for the fact that in the second half they knew the pass was coming and they were lying in wait while 3 and 4 down linemen were getting pressure around 2 seconds. Tebow was bad that game, but when a defense can tee off it can get bad and that is what pretty much took place.
Probably a pretty good observation. I think Denver was in shock they beat the Steelers and it looked like they were chum to the sharks at NE. It was a total team meltdown.
The author of the post is pretty anti-Tebow so yes, it has an anti Tebow slant. But he does get after the OL, secondary and the totally ineffective Denver defense too.
However, not in any manner closely related to the tear down of Tebow. I'm not a fan of Tebow being a starter, but the kid is young and needs time. It was just horribly written.
That game revealed the profound shortcomings of the entire Denver roster, but even more so the lack of experience and maybe talent of Mike McCoy. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
