I'm sure his teammates on the offensive side of the ball appreciate this. But it is really no big deal.
Braylon is a Seahawk. I strongly encourage you to relocate here and spread your manlove: http://www.seahawkblue.com/showthread.php?31143-Braylon-Edwards-signs-with-the-Seahawks&
He didn't even know. I worked 10 hours and went to class for 4, and knew about that. And Braylon's biggest cheerleader did not.
Now if the media wanted to pick a JET for making strange comments that make no sense, this would the quote to do it with.
I could see Cro breaking downfield, getting some great seperation, having a great pss delivered right to him....and then pulling a '09 Braylon.
Wish him all the best just not when playing the NYJETS. When your own teams CB tells you hes the 2nd best WR on the team thats a problem dont ya think?
Quotes like these fascinate me and show the social bubble athletes and other celebrities live in. Even the most hardcore Jets fan knows Cro's best chance of making a hard tackle is only if the runner crashes into him accidentally. Yet somehow Cro has this belief that he's a physical player?! Realistically, I'd expect any backup CB to knock him off his routes with ease.
When they say someone is a "physical receiver" I dont think they are referring to their ability to tackle. More like their ability to battle for the ball in the air, and with his arms, he is pretty physical in that sense.
Understood. I've just got doubts that somebody who avoids contact defensively is willing to go up in the air and risk taking a big hit just to catch the ball. Can't see Cro battling a defender for a ball if he's crossing the middle or running downfield with a safety closing in. As receiver, the only thing I could see Cro pulling off are jump balls in corner of end zone or near side lines so he can concentrate on the catch and not worry about getting smacked. Which I do admit would be awesome if he could specialize in that role.
