I didn't notice anything unusual about Mangold's head. It may have been a bit swollen from hitting, which may be normal for the first few days of camp. As for Keller, I believe he was just winded. Many players needed extra stretching and such during practice. That seems to be norm with it being the first week of camp and the heat (it was a warm one today). I was near the offensive line most of the time. It is easy to see that Mangold is a true professional and that all of his teammates look up to him. He practices like he plays. Also, some people around me were a little shocked when they heard the offensive line coach, Dave DeGuglielmo, swearing at the players. Hey, it's football, folks. You can bet your butt there is going to be plenty of swearing. There was lots of national press there. ESPN was doing a lot of live hits and Kimberly Jones from the NFL Network was doing her reports close to my area. Jones did an outstanding job of talking with the crowd, taking pictures, and signing autographs. It was nice to see a member of the national media taking time out of her schedule to do that. Very classy. I did not see Tim Tebow with his shirt off, though many fans were joking about it.
Is that Laveranues Coles in the picture 10th from the top standing under the middle of the scoreboard?
Yes, that is him. I read that he is interning with the Jets. I am not sure for what. As I was driving onto campus this morning, I passed both Coles and Terry Bradway walking into the entrance. That was a cool way to start my visit.
