Yeah, they both performed well today; so that's good to hear. However, it can't be called a battle when Sanchez is getting reps solely with the 1st team while Tebow is getting reps solely with the 2nd team. In a real battle for the starting spot, they would have to each get an equal amount of reps (or close to equal) with the 1st team.
Everything that came out of TC today was good news. Hill had a great catch on Revis. Tebow had a TD pass (called back for false start ). Sanchez threw a bomb to Holmes. The offensive tempo was fast and powerful. Rex was doing a bit of chest pounding (I'm the best defensive coach in the NFL) and everyone seemed focused, passionate and as Tebow would say, excited, excited, excited. I would love for Catt County to be really sad in a few weeks.
So here's a wildcat question the involves both Tebow and Sanchez. Last year when we ran the WC, Sanchez trotted out to the WR position while Kerley stepped up under center. And Sanchez got knocked on his ass! Plus he looked terrified out there. What if we run the WC again with Kerely and TEBOW trots out to some other position (TE?). A DB ain't gonna knock Tebow on his ass, and Tebow could actually stay part of the play. So just wondering if our WC with Kerely under center and Tebow somewhere else but still in the play could be dominant. More so than last year b/c we'd still be playing with 11 players.
