With the possibility of Gholston declaring for the draft next year, and the Jets being in need of a true pass rusher, how would you feel about the Jets drafting another Gholston ?

Do you think theres any chance that the front office would actually draft this guy (even if they actually like him as a prospect) simply because of how poorly the VG experiment went ?

yes.i paid alot of money for gholston jersey and would love another chance of wearing it.
in fact they should sign every one named gholston until one sticks just so i can have a relevant jersey again

If we switch to a 4-3 and end up playing it most of the time and Wilk moves inside, I would be for it. This kid is a beast... But 95% of Jets fans would flip if we drafted him simply because of his name.

He's a stud, absolutely yes. I'd be pissed if they passed on a guy of his caliber for any reason besides a better option being on the board. People will make comparisons all day, but anyone can tell this kid has a violence/passion to his game Vern didn't.

Seems like he has a good motor, but after getting kicked out of that game last year, I'm worried about maturity issues, not unlike Burrfict, but on a much smaller scale for now.

The Vernon Gholston and Ohio State Crap is bullshit.

    The players are total opposites.

I'd say no but I can't blame people who'd be worried. More often than not cousins do share similar genes and its not unfair to be scared off by Williams' cousin tenitative play.

Vernon should have wanted to be a big time player for the Jets but he didn't "want it". You can't teach heart and to love the game of football. Its going to be asked time and time again at the combines as far as the relationship between both Gholston's and William should expect that.

The problem with Gholston wasnt his genetics the guy was a beast. And being that their cousins (and not brothers) that means they dont even share a single parent...

But I do agree about the whole want it part

You can't blame people who base their fear on an idiotic reason? You know how people can squash that fear? Watch him play football.

Let me say, I believe Michigan State is going to have one of the top defenses in the Country this season. Gholston, Johnny Adams and Isaiah Lewis are outstanding football players.

Gholston has unbelievable talent and is nothing like his cousin, except for superior athletic ability. William Gholston is very passionate to a fault. WG needs to mature and stop taking stupid penalaties and getting into skirmishes. I like WG's emotion on the field, I believe it improves his play, but he needs to be smart with his emotions.

WG is lucky to be alive, he was in a rollover crash.

WG will be his own worst enemy, he will succeed or fail in the NFL based on his personal life decisions. He has all the talent in the world to be a great NFL player, the choice is his alone.

I can't compare WG & VG. The older cousin had no passion for anything in life. I remember mentioning that even VG's OSU teammates said he won't associate the the players on and off the field.

Both players have polar opposite personalities, one has failed and the other will fail unless he grows up.

The stipulation has to be that NG (new gholston) wears VG's old number to save fans that buy jerseys $$$
