My friend is a manager at a movie theater so we had an IMAX showing at like 4 AM on Sunday when the print was built. Amazing. See it as soon as possible.
That's awesome... I got my tickets over a month ago. Watching Batman Begins right now.. Dark Knight tomorrow.. and then Dark Knight Rises on Thursday. Beyond stoked.
My plan is similar but with Begins tomorrow, The Dark Knight Thursday, then head to Rises right after.
They are rebooting Superman right now. Zach Snyder is filming Man of Steel with Henry Cavill as Supes...The unanimous choice of fans for Supes
Sounds like they are rebooting a la Batman Begins. In fact, Nolan is a producer. I just hate the character of Superman. He's too powerful. It's always the same crap fighting him. Either someone has kryptonite (Luthor), or someone else survived/avoided the destruction of Krypton (Zod). I'd like to see a director try Braniac or Darkseid. Also, most heroes are so conflicted. Superman is a godlike boy scout. I don't think people can relate or feel for a character like that today. Sounds like the director, Snyder, is going for a "People wouldn't accept an all powerful alien if he revealed himself in today's world" theme. It could be good, but the lack of a threat to Superman, or, the same old threat, will hurt the movie I think.
Nolan probably looks at Spider-Man and his villains and laughs. I do wonder how involved Nolan actually is with Superman as a producer. It should be pretty good.
I heard like 60% of this movie is actually shot with an Imax camera so it's extra awesome in Imax. I saw Dark Knight in Imax but apparently only like 12% was shot in Imax. Obviously Imax is generally better but it's insanely awesome when an actual Imax camera was used for that scene. Anyone who's seen it in Imax attest to that?
I'm seeing in standard tomorrow night, as I did with TDK at Midnight... but I have a feeling I'll eventually take the trek out to Lincoln Square and see it in the real deal IMAX.
Can't wait guys. 24 hours away. Leaving the internet til after the movie now. We have been waiting for a long time and judging by most reviews, it will be worth the wait.
I was thinking that DC just has much better villains that anything Marvel can manage (aside maybe from Magneto) even though I am a much bigger Marvel fanboy than I am DC. I managed to get a copy of the amazing Olly Moss Dark Knight film poster so I am feeling very smug.
Going to see it tomorrow with guidance counselor. Hope it's as good as the last one. But, hopefully we're not focused too much on the movie, if you know what I'm saying. And I actually just saw Batman Begins for the first time yesterday. I had no idea it was part of the Bale/Freeman Batman series, and I liked it better than The Dark Knight, honestly.
I dunno if he's gonna be in it, but if the Riddler is, it's gonna be Mr. Reese.....Mr. Resse, mis-ter-ees, mysteries. The Riddler!
