I just hope Sparano isn't looking at our offense through rose colored (sun)glasses.

I think Sparano will not baby Sanchez and will not take any mess. He will run the offense and I hope he is not afraid to bench anyone because of performance.

Just from following and watching him the last 4 years, I can tell you this will not be an issue.

Sparano actually had good things to say about Vlad. I think he even said Vlad was better looking than Reggie Bush.

Until now, his name has been the least of his problems.

Sparano should take out Tebow so everybody else knows he means business.

He should take out Hunter for the sake of the O line.

Nice a ridiculously positive article to cancel out all the negative ones this offseason. Article is also not focused on Santonio Holmes or Tim Tebow too. Nice read since I haven't been keeping up closely with the training they have done.

Still taking with a grain of salt since it is July. (Was about to type May, time flies)

Hey, If I were a Jets fan, this piece would be good reading. EVERYONE is looking good, and improving. You can't hate that. While Parcells was of the school that preached everyone needs to prove their worth, and nothing is ever good enough Rex preaches "sunshine football". Everyone is awesome and great. No problems here. I guess its his style, At least its consistent throughout his coaching staff

After reading that article, I have to wonder why any team would even bother to show up for the games. All this positiveness.....and not a single player has lined up and hit anyone yet. How long will it be before the article claiming the Jets have won the underwear Olympics/non-contact portion of the NFL season.

If after 3 weeks of TC, you get a similar report, THEN it would be appropriate to be optimistic and hopeful. Now its just PR to sell tickets

The Jets are big and strong up front along the line, featuring three Pro Bowl players in C Nick Mangold, LT D’Brickashaw Ferguson and RG Brandon Moore. With LG Matt Slauson rehabbing from offseason shoulder surgery, Vlad Ducasse stepped in and repeatedly earned praise form head coach Rex Ryan and Sparano.

“Vlad has been working in there with that first group right now and he’s been getting better. The more reps he gets, I think, the more comfortable he starts to feel,” said Sparano. “He’s a big, powerful man, a good athlete. He’s done a nice job for us.”

This is the main thing i want to see out of TC is Vlad taking over providing us with a more explosive push on run plays ... Now pass plays is the worry ...

To me at this point what Sparano says means nothing. Just get the football team focused on executing plays and limit the turnovers.

You know, I don't mind hearing the perspective of other fans, it helps keep everything from being a rah rah the Jets are the best forum - even though we have PLENTY of our own negative fans. You coming into every thread with any positive light shed on the Jets and pissing all over it is getting pretty old pretty quick though.

Sometimes it's best to just shut the fuck up.

I guess you didn't get the purpose of the post. My comments weren't about the Jets, but their coaching staff and their style of managing the media. And clearly you didn't read the last sentence of my post. Sure its nice to read how great everyone is doing now. But NOW doesn't matter. Everyone is the league looks great right NOW.

AGAIN, if you are still hearing positive reports on players 3 weeks into camp, THEN you have reason to be excited. Who cares how someone looked at the mini camps. That goes for the Pats, Packers, or Jets, etc. A few years ago the media unanimously declared that Chad Jackson was the most impressive player at the Pats mini camp that year. And 2 years later he was gone. Just another fast guy with great hands who didn't have a clue about being an NFL player, and in my opinion the worst draft pick in BB's time with the Pats

Thank you for keeping us in our place. What would we do without all the friendly unbiased Pats fans to tell us what's what.

What you're saying isn't necessarily wrong, but the fact that you feel the need to say it on a Jets board is really kind of pathetic. Do you think any Jets fan cares or wants to hear this from you? Listen, I'm all for real football talk whether it's pro or anti Jets, but trying to shit on an obvious fluff piece like this just to make sure we don't believe it is being a dick.
