No. Tebow is here as the back up QB. If Sanchez gets hurt or is throwing multiple INTs he will be replaced by Tebow, the back up QB. That is what Tebow was brought here to do. If you think Ryan is going to stand there watching Sanchez spit the bit and do nothing, you are dreaming.
What a pity party we got going on here. Sanchez Made plenty of bad decisions and by the end of the year he just didn't give a shit. If you watch that Miami game and they pan to Sanchez under the protective covering on the side line. He simply didn't give a shit any longer. The team was playing like shit so no direct blame can be assessed to Sanchez. The defense looked tired and couldn't maintain any level of consistency down the stretch. Iv heard of that . ...That's failure! Sanchez didn't look injured in that Miami game and I suspect he wasn't.
Blaming that on Shottenheimer is a stretch. That play was a 3-step drop designed to get the ball out quickly. Sanchez needs to get rid of the ball in that situation, instead he pump-faked and you know the rest
1. It is a quick hitter play - that I agree. 2. Sanchez PUMP FAKED? Just what are you watching? This is the basic of all basics in blitzing. DLs have to buy time - and one way to do that is to PUT THEIR ARMS UP IN THE PASSING LANE. Keller did chip the DE from the right and get free, but Sanchez had to tuck it in because of the DL on the right. The defense knew what to expect from this offense - it's very clear from that play alone. (The stat sheets will tell you, again, the Ravens defense totally owned the Jets offense.) Hell, they even knew 1. the timing of the outlet pass and 2. the direction of the outlet pass. Now, where is the offensive game planning to counter Ravens' pass rush? If there was anything with half semblance to game planning, do you honestly think Sanchez would have been taking those inhumane hits all game long? Just in case you didn't get it, I will kindly summarize it for you: Sanchez tried to get rid of it (1) and saw the arms of DL in the passing lane (2) so he tried to move to secondary target - and got sacked while progressing from primary to secondary. 3. Quick hitter or not, YOU DO NOT ALLOW A FREE PASS RUSHING LANE TO THE DEFENSE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Did Brady have same issue? How many blind-side hit did he even take? After 3rd step back? Quite obviously, during the offensive game planning (in classroom) this - rather most basic of the basic - zone blitz by Ed Reed was not even covered adequately. It is not as much of a problem on the play calling. It's more of a problem DURING THE WEEK. The practice the offense has put in is utterly ineffective. If that is not the responsibility of the OC (and ultimately, HC) I don't know whose responsibility it is. Are you telling me that responsibility squarely falls on Sanchez's shoulder? If you STILL don't understand (which I think is the case) consider this: not one soul was aware of Ed Reed crashing in from the left side. Ferguson pass blocked to his right, oblivious to Ed Reed flying in. Hell, the entire OL moved the pocket to the right, vacating the pass rushing lane to Ed Reed. Greene went to Sanchez's right, so he read it wrong too. To make the matter worse, Jets were operating on the right hash mark, and the primary read was Keller, aligned off RT, on a quick out to the right sideline. JUST WHAT THE FUCK? And this is not the fault of Schottenheimer, you are telling me? Just what are you smoking?
OK to be honest, Sanchez took the blame for shit that wasn't his fault last year. Schottys play calling was atrocious. We had no running game to speak of which allowed teams to tee off on Sanchez. He had Zero time to make decisions. I believe you guys are confused...Plax didn't seem ti be a locker room cancer at all. If memory serves me it was and still is Santonio Holmes. He almost came ti blows with one of his linemen in the huddle last year. I am extremely confident in Sanchez's abilities. Tebow won't be a locker room cancer... you won't see the circus that the media and everyone outside of the organization is expecting to see. The addition of Tebow has given Sanchez much needs competition and a quality backup...as well as a wild cat addition to the offense. Ill be looking for Buffalo and NYJ to be the contenders for the AFC EAST title this year
Greene got Sanchez fuckin killed on that play. Terrible missed block! How the fuck do you forget about Ed Reed?
How is it clutching at straws. Try using your eyes or how about listening to the fucking person on his team who just said he was hurt.
It is far from clear why Tebow was brought here, particularly since he seems ill qualified to be a backup Qb.
^Rex and Sparano both got burned by Tebow last year they probably view him as a legit backup and a guy that can do a bunch of other shit. The consumate "gadget" player.
Rex and Sparano also both love the wildcat but in the past used the formation with people who couldn't really throw the ball, just run it. Now we have the best man in the NFL to run the wildcat. He can throw the deep pass and is a bruising runner.
tim tebow was brought in to teach sanchez how to lead. tim will see the field, but his main role will be to show sanchez what he is missing in the locker room.
pictures are cool, but if you watched the play you would know that you are wrong, greene is a receiver on the play not a blocker. 3 o-line bunched up in the middle, likely gameplanned to help schladeroff, greene running a quick hitch in the middle and keller in the flat. holmes and plax with soft coverage are still running clearouts. maybe sanchez could have audibled into something else, but as we know in schottys system, everybody is supposed to make adjustments, and i have a feeling that the quick hitter to keller or greene was supposed to be our way of neutralizing the blitz. you can try to blame the game on poor reads, but you would be wrong. the gameplan was flawed and showed a lack of understanding of what the ravens are even about on defense. the game was an embarrassment ad probably the catalyst to the locker room meltdown we saw late in the season. i would say that the ravens and giants games are the number one reasons schotty is no longer on the coaching staff.
I know its mostly a joke but I honestly think one of the main reasons Tebow was brought in was for his leadership and his positive energy in a locker room. His kind of intangibles can do a lot for a team. its too bad he can't throw anything but a deep pass.
not a joke, a guy can be in the locker room with someone like tebow and learn the emulate some of the things he does. hes already had a positive effect on mark in the weight room, and you would have to be a complete moron to not see his leadership qualities. last year the offense was not in it together, conversely, the broncos offense were all in. tim tebow is a good football player, but the way he can get guys to rally around him is truly remarkable. i doubt that the jets staff sees a great quarterback in tim tebow, and i really think he is here to help mark more than anything.
