http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/je...ack?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter I didn't realize Sanchez was injured last season to that extent (sounds severe, more than just "banged up"); if so, there may be cause for some optimism this season if Sanchez both goes in healthy and stays healthy.
It's obvious to anyone watching he was playing banged up but that's part of the job description. That doesn't excuse his poor play to end the season, he should have been making better decisions but he was clearly playing hurt.
The dude was completely shaken up. No confidence in the line and the wide receiver core wasn't exactly giving him the best help. Would like to hear from you on how he could of made better decisions when everyone not just the QB plays like shit. Granted he made some bad decisions and injuries are part of the game. The offense as a whole made poor decisions
I thought everyone knew. Atleast once a game in the second half he would run run off at the end of a position bent over clutching his throwing shoulder. Not to make an excuse for him but it definitely didn't help. Also for the people saying its just another excuse. His Ex Wr is saying it not him or any of the coaches. Could have been worse then we suspected.
He most certainly was and many including myself knew it. He had 2 terrific seasons prior. The NYJETS organization failed to have an adequate back QB in place so Sanchez had to play hurt. The guy was crushed in many games and often got off the carpet slow.
I am NOT blaming just him, he played a role. He could have been better, the OL could have been better, the run game could have been better, the WRs could have been better.
I thought it was pretty obvious he has a neck/shoulder problem towards the end of the season. He never complained about it nor mentioned it, which is good cause he's not blaming his poor play on it.
Everyone should of been held accountable in equal proportion IMO. Gotta give him credit for holding his own though. Not many would keep playing. BTW what's up with the Jets and how they report injuries? First Favre now this.
I knew about the neck, just not the arm. I'm not mentioning this as an excuse for Sanchez but maybe an explanation for his poor performance later in the year. Plus, as someone mentioned, Sanchez didn't complain nor even mention it. Neither did the Jets organization since they had no backup in place. Hopefully this means a healthy Sanchez might not be quite as bad as he was in the last few games last year.
True, but "banged up" and "injured" are two different things. We have no idea how bad it was since the Jets like to be enigmatic in regard to injuries.
So is Plaxico a reliable source now? I thought he became the scapegoat for the whole "Sanchez is lazy" thing. Tell me if I'm wrong.(serious)
