Dickey is not starting at the all-star game. Is Posey not an all-star catcher? He can't catch a knuckle-ball? Once again baseball get's it wrong. Dickey has been the story of Baseball this year. Fans of baseball outside of the Mets have been excited about this dude. People see Posey catching Cain balls all the time. hmy:How is that exciting? I don't take the all-star game seriously, but this pisses me off.
Both our allstars got screwed out of starting. Posey shouldn't be starting either. Wright and Ruiz have had far better years then Sandoval and Posey. Its BS that their fans cracked out and voted a ridiculous amount in the last 2 days.
How the hell can't we beat the freaking cubs. How well, .5 out of the wild card heading into the all-star break is way better than anyone on here would have predicted before the season started.
pretty absurd. The fans made a mockery of it as they often do with the Giants whoring big time to get fans to stuff it, but La Russa starting the wrong pitcher is pretty bad. It doesn't really affect the Mets, but it would be a nice honor for Dickey, who has been the best pitcher in baseball.
Dillon Gee has been put on the DL because of a blood clot found in his shoulder after he had numbness in his fingers on Sunday. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/11/s...ot-puts-mets-dillon-gee-on-disabled-list.html This is very bad news. Based on players like David Cone and Jeremy Bonderman this could easily kill the rest of his season. Considering the awful last starts of Dickey, Santana, and Niese, all of a sudden the biggest strength of the team (along with Wright) might now be a weakness. If that's the case the season's over.
I heard the Gee is only supposed to miss 2 starts. They said the blood clot was brooken up and he is doing fine.
That would be great, but I haven't seen anything online that says that. According to Newsday the Mets called his return to baseball activity "undetermined."
There was an article which said Harvey is projected as the Ace and Wheeler projected as the #2. I always thought Wheeler was considered a better prospect than Harvey. Interesting.
These things change sometimes. Small sample sizes (prior to this year), maturity, and more performances for scouts and stats freaks to analyze. Joe Paterno just laughed in hell because I wrote anal in a discussion of flowering young men. That was discussion, Joe. Not dick sucking, you sick bastard.
