Great player? No. Good player who's a great fit for this team? I think so. Good shooter, good defender, can play some pt so Deron can play off the ball at times. He's also not a player who relies heavily on his athleticism so I think he could be a solid 18-20 ppg scorer for most if not all of his contract. The contract sucks but the Nets didn't give up anything of value for him.

Evans is useful but I bet he wouldn't have been signed by any team and he could have come even cheaper. Same with Wallace, I think they overpaid him too.

    2012-2013
    $1,352,181

    2013-2014
    $1,399,507

    2014-2015
    $1,448,490

That's the minimum salary for the next 3 years for a veteran with 10+ years in league...

    His average is $1.6 million...

I truly think JJ is better than Bosh.

And Wade if he continues to decline at his current rate.

But hes definitely not in the category of your Lebron Deron Dwight Melo etc

Shows you how much I value Reggie Evans.

Deron Williams is a Net according to his twitter account

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Deron Williams has reached agreement on a 5 year, $100 million extension with Brooklyn, a league source tells Y! Sports.

@DeronWilliams: Made a very tough decision today... http://lockerz.com/s/222071318

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Deron Williams just tweeted a Nets logo on his twitter account, and said "Made a tough decision today." Sources confirm he's told Nets.

I personally thought Deron was staying the last 24-48 hours but this must be a relief for Nets fans.

source: Deron Williams tells Nets he's staying in Brooklyn

He is such a clown of a "reporter"...

Why do this when Deron was the one to let the world know?

Looks like no chance of Kidd since the JJ trade...

Kidd's b/w the Knicks and Mavs...

He isn't a great player but he is an above average player. He would be the 3rd or 4th option on the Nets.

am i the only one who thinks D will is overrated? he couldnt even bring the Nets anywhere near .500 in a weak ass division. Nash kept his team hovering around .500 with a less talented roster in the west. Chris Paul helped the Hornets have a winning record for years with virtually no help but David West.

You must be one of those Knicks fans that got a Lin tattoo as soon as the media fell in love with him.

You better hope the Nets don't get Howard, those band wagon Knicks fans will become Nets fans as soon as the news breaks.
