I hope they plan formations where Hill and Schiens are on the outside while Holmes is in the slot. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
I'd rather have Holmes in the X while Hill is in the Y ( Both wide posistions ) with Kerley running under routes of Hill's it could be deadly. Holmes can play on the outside and he should. Kerley is our slot man but I wouldn't mind your idea but Schillens hasnt stayed on the field ever
We all keep forgetting Chazinator. If he remains healthy, and thats a big if, he can be our best FA pickup this year. Just my gut feeling. I think he has loads of potential, just needs the right place to succeed and I think we can use his speed along with Hills' of course. Sent from my office using a keyboard
When the Jets signed Chaz the very first thought that went through my mind was: what's he got that Justin McCareins didn't? This FO really likes to take flyers on guys with great measurables and little displayed talent to go along with those measurables. The obvious thing though is that if guys with great measurables haven't done much with them then the measurables really aren't worth all that much. That's why their current team let them go.
except Schilens has been pretty productive when he's been healthy. The problem with his career has been his ability to stay on the field...
He hasn't been that productive though. His best season would have worked out to 58 catches for a 12.6 YPC and 4 TD's. Other than that he's been a 4th WR type guy without much to show for his snaps. He's basically almost exactly where Justin McCareins was at this point in his career except that he's injury-prone also. Somehow people are taking the fact that he has been injured a lot as a positive. Which is crazy. He's mediocre and he can't stay on the field.
I hope this Hill kid is good, we're going to need him. I also hope Sanchez has a few seconds to throw the ball this year.
The comparison with Justin McCariens is not accurate at all. . 1. McCariens had average speed with average height. 2. Chaz is faster, is taller, and has shown flashes of getting behind the safeties. 3. Chaz did not get a monster length contract like McCareins' 7-year deal. 4. Chas is making barely above the minimum wage. 5. Zero risk, huge reward potential.
I think schilens is the guy who's gonna play big early on, maybe help win a few of our tough games. Hill will come on later in the season, but schilens will be the man early and often. Dudes a beast and he's just as big and fast as Hill.
this guy has talent but never can stay healthy--I believe if you look closely at him he has a disclaimer that says FRAGILE handle with care----if we get anything out of this guy I will be more than happy but most likely shocked . Some of you think Shonn Greene is brittle wait til you see this guy-----I will be more than happy to eat crow should this guy stay healthy.
Oh I see what you did thurr lol. There are so many formations to run and I like Kerley as our slot, if we need to get down the field in a hurry, it could be an excellent package if Schiens is healthy and can contribute Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
that shit had me dying hahahahha I agree I think Chaz will be beast mode but I really don't think Kerley gets enough credit I'm really high on him
whats worse is we didn't even sign him off the open market, we traded a 2nd rounder for him, and subsequently paid a fuckton of money to him because he caught a bomb against us the previous season that won the game for Tennessee. Jesus, I hadn't thought about conway in years... we went on a real run of adding stone-handed people to play for us didn't we?
True. Forgot to mention it in my post. That's why I put zero risk for Chaz since we have nothing but slightly above vets minimum invested in him.
