I know I shouldn't be posting this, but I'm relieved the Mets swept the Orioles.

Doesn't have to be a no hitter, I'll just take a third consecutive shutout :)

I hope Pettite pulls his groin running the bases.

In all seriousness I do not wish injury on anyone, but its nice to see real baseball. I happen to enjoy the subway series but I can't stand watching American league ball, and I loved Steinbrenners blowhard reaction to Wang (I think it was him) getting injured running the bases in interleague a few years back.

    (Yankees fan in peace)

Yeah it was Wang. It sucks because it really is a fluke thing. Some of the strangest injuries happen in baseball especially to pitchers because any little thing can throw them off. I remember the Tigers closer getting hurt playing guitar hero.

I like NL ball just to watch the pitchers hit, but at the same time watching a pitcher mow down a great AL lineup in the AL is amazing to watch.

Looks like Francisco will get a shot to face the Chickens in the ninth. He'll blow it.

Yeah, he will. On another note, I don't know why Terry didn't bring Nieuwenhuis into the game for D.

Get ready for Supernovaaaa! In all seriousness though, Yankees fan in peace. I like this Mets team, they're scrappy and fun to watch. If you guys can pull together a bullpen at the deadline (a la St. Louis last season) you have as good a shot as anybody in the NL.

ugh, 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, but Duda and Murphy come up. Both struck out. That's why you can't have back to back lefties in the middle of the lineup. The other team just brings in a specialist.

Big shock... Rauch with another loss although he only gave up one run he fucking blows. He is paid to get bthrough innings and he couldn't even get an out before blowing the game.

Collins can't win, if he leaves guys in too long they blow it, if he goes to the pen they blow it. This team is in contention somehow despite the albatross that is our bullpen, Alderson needs to get off his ass and get some relief pitching before the season goes down the drain.
