Dickey threw the Mets first untainted no-hitter tonight. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay scorekeepers recorded a Wright error as a hit for Upton. But we all saw it. It is black and white and I don't mean that Upton is black and Dickey is white.

I think tonight's game by R.A. Dickey might have actually been a better than Johan's NO-HITTER. He is unbelievable this year.

However, I can't wait til the Mets get back to citi field and start playing real baseball again, I don't know how people watch American League baseball all year round.

Haha true , I was thinking the exact same thing. Can we finally put this to bed now? Johan pitched a no hitter and Dickey did not.

I didn't see the play but an error is a judgement call, seeing chalk fly up is not.

I noticed the Mets are appealing- they already stole 1 no hitter- shouldn't that be enough?

He should have, it's his job. he completely blew it, there will always be bad calls but when you are feet away and starting at the line and chalk flies up it's obvious. That one is unacceptable.

They aren't changing it, officially it's a NH but we'll always remember that play.

I apologize if reality hurts. If you don't think anything was tainted why do you care what I think? enjoy the NH.

Wow you are really upset over the fact the Mets finally pitched a no hitter. What is it about Yankee fans that they get so emotional if any of the spotlight is taken off of them.

I couldn't care less, nothing the Mets do bother me at all. I despise the Giants b/c they have had more success than the jets but I don't think about the Mets b/c they are no threat at all. I'm happy for all Met fans that you finally threw a NH*, I wish it was a legitimate one but maybe some day.

The Mets definitely bother you. It is very clear in the smug response you gave.

I know haha. Its pretty pathetic. It became very pathetic when he started to say if the kid didn't catch that Jeter homerun that there is no proof he would have caught it.

Doesn't matter if it should have been ruled a hit. It wasn't so it isn't a hit. Don't act like you are the one who decides what is what lol.

what does the jeffrey aier play have to do w/ this? That wasn't black and white, this is. We have no idea if Taraco catches that ball and again if he does and IF the Yanks lose that game they have mariano available for game 2 and most likely don't blow that game so it's still 1-1 headed to Baltimore.

Why would a team that never wins bother me as a Yankee fan? Come on, use some common sense.

You are butt hurt over the fact the Yankees did not win it all till you were in your 20s. You have mentioned this in the past without technically writing it.

Yeah, you root for the Mets to get a no-hitter. :roll eyes: "Please God, make the Mets get a no-hitter."

Yes, I have some deep rooted hatred of the Mets b/c they were better when I was a kid even though I rooted for them in 1986(and not b/c they played the Sox).

I think you are projecting your issues on to me, the Mets don't bother me in the least and if they ever did I would say 5 WS titles since 1996 including whipping the Mets in one of them would allow me to get over that.

    I assume you mean haven't.

No question, he was capable of doing it. He had the stuff. A lot has to come together for a no hitter, so a lot of guys who had the talent or the "stuff" to do it obviously never did.

    No, he actually wasn't.

    Not even close.

That explains the hours you spend arguing over the things the Mets do I guess, right?
