Its crazy to think that if the Wright hadnt had those errors than Dickey would have thrown a perfect game.
I think the BJ Upton at bat was a legitimate hit. I actually thinks it makes the Mets look silly for appealing.
Yeah I think the Upton play was a hit too. I'm not a Mets fan but it would have been awesome for their fans if they got two no hitters in 3 weeks after having none.
At this point Collins has to really be wondering about his decision two weeks ago - Santana has been terrible since the no-hitter (1.71 WHIP, 11.57 ERA). I'm not saying I'm wondering - I absolutely think Santana should have stayed in the game - but given how conflicted Collins was at the time, the fact that the results afterwards haven't been good has to really be bothering him.
Davis puts the Mets back ahead. This is actually 4 or 5 games where he's hitting - could it possibly be that he really is coming around?
Honestly there are guys that think that Collins should not have given him that extra day off, Mitch Williams is a strong believer that pitchers don't pitch enough. Not sure if I agree but there is a possibility he might be right.
Rauch, Parnell and Byrdak doing the job, but Batista stinking it up. One more baserunner and it's tying run at the plate, and in comes Francisco.
What an idiotic play by Quintanilla - you have to get the sure out at first, especially since it would make it two outs.
If the Mets blow this all of the good feeling from the first 26 innings of this series completely disappears. Bad defense and bad closing - their special recipe for disaster.
Francisco amazingly gets the close called third strike and the Mets win. Too close, but a great series for the team.
First of all, why are you being a dick? Secondly, I do the see the difference between a fan and the team objecting. Fans ( you and I) have friendly banter all the time. Its meaningless. Aand harmless. Aa team putting in an appeal ( and yes, I know why they did) much more accurately fits your description of anyone objecting to judgement calls is foolish!
