To see if they would trade MJD? For Tebow? Or maybe some draft picks or something else? I know he wants a new deal but coming here could change that. What u guys think?

The Jaguars don't want Tim Tebow. They want Blaine Gabbert to work out and become their franchise QB. They have a minor PR problem due to Tebow's fame in north Florida, a problem they artfully skated around when Tebow became available.

If the Jets called Jacksonville right now they'd get a polite rebuff. Not enough to close the door completely, since if that leaked the Jags would be dealing with the repercussions of just saying no to something a lot of their fans want, but enough to push off discussions to some undefined future point.

If Gabbert goes down in camp? That is the time to call the Jags because they need to sell tickets like everybody else and Tim Tebow will sell a lot of tickets for them.

As much as I want a true #1 back, you cant get around the fact that the money he wants, we can NOT give him. We are going to have to pay Revis at the end of this year... And MJD has had knee problems and probably only has a couple of good years left in him.

In pretty much every aspect its not possible. End thread/

Who says I'm a Tebow nut, because I joined this year? I joined after the draft so clearly the only reason I joined was Tebow. :breakdance:. I comment more on the Tebow section because it's usually the most active.
And who cares how long who has been on here? It's asinine to think the Jags would trade MJD for Tebow. You should know better than that.

I think if he ended up here it would prolong his career. He would not need to be the work horse here he is in jax. As for the money he wants that y I said if he would come on what he getting paid now.

And you're just plain nuts. Seriously Tebow for MJD. A mediocre BACK UP QB and wildcat qb for top 5 running backs in football. Besides the fact that we don't have the money to pay MJD why in hell would they do that trade. Unbelievably stupid.

Well, if you count the times you've been banned, its more like 6 years. And just to humor you, it ain't gonna happen. If you slipped a penny into MJD's treads, you could see the top of Lincoln's head by now.

So let me get this..the Jets should try to trade for Jones-Drew who wants 15 million a year because they are flush with money, right? Or so he can hold out here instead of there? Brilliant..

U can always talk to him to see if things change if he gets traded to a better team.

Tebow for MJD is too much of a steal. How about Tebow for Lowery? Then we get rid of all the T-bots, and we get someone who we can afford and who can contribute.

If this thread is about a courtesy call, then why wouldn't we? But we don't have anything of value to trade, and no ability to give him a new deal, which means he wouldn't show up to our camp either.
