I got one question though. Does Beltran have a .295 batting average instead of .290 in your hypothetical universe too?
No, you don't care. Plenty of people on this board and millions around the world do care. Here ya go again using your own rules to dictate what you perceive to be reality.
misinformed fans hurt. Many use the money excuse but if it money really bought wins then the Cubs/Mets/Phillies should always make the playoffs and same with the Red Sox/Yankees. It doesn't work that way. Everyone has slowly started to realize this except misinformed fans like yourself. If you truly believe the Yankees only win because of money I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. It's funny because haters let their hate get in the way so much they can't proces simple information let alone form a coherent argument. So many people have disproved the salary cap argument the only place I see it now is ESPN comment sections and we all know you go to ESPN comments to get scintillating and intelligent discussion and debates:breakdance:
Would it help if I said very few people in this Country care? What's next? you bring up a blown call in the WNBA playoffs?
ANyone else getting the feeling that GRNYT is having a little trouble getting over the sweep last weekend? Bwahhahahah. He just keeps repeating himself like a senile old man wearing headphones listening to the Mets on a transistor radio. Those poor, poor small market Mets.
According to what I found on the internets, 24 million people IN AMERICA watched the 2010 world cup final.....20 million watched the 2012 NCAA b-ball final. Those are thenumbers I found. They may be wrong, they may be right. If theyre right, your theory is terribly flawed. http://www.epltalk.com/2010-world-cup-final-the-most-watched-soccer-game-in-u-s-history-22078 http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/323...-national-championship-ratings-final-four.htm 21 million for hoops actually
ABC drew 15 mil, 21 mil is more than 15, right? and in the same year(2010) the men's final drew almost 50 mil, that's more than 15, right? http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/mensbasketball/2010-04-06-tv-ratings-ncaa-title-game_N.htm The WC is an event, once every 4 years like the Olympics but during the other 3+ years no one pays attention.
woa woa woa ABC drew 15+ and Univision drew 8+, thats 24 million dude. Yes its once every 4 years, fair point. however, its still a soccer event in this country drawing more viewers than an event that every American is broiught up knowing about. Nice try leaving out the Univision watchers though Bend the numbers anyway you'd like, about 7% of the entire US population watched teh WC final. So to say no one isinterested is borderline retarded.
The univision folks are the ones who normally watch soccer. It's the $15 mil on ABC that needs to be used and either way the 2010 title game doubled the WC final. ABC vs. CBS Again, people are interested in the WC they aren't interested in soccer. Big events will always get ratings. Do you see big ratings for gymnastics, swimming or track and field when it's not during the olympics?
Those are the people that don't speak English that already love soccer. Univision always has soccer games on and I asume always get good ratings. ABC are the regular Americans, the ones that don't care about soccer and only watch the WC b/c it is an event. apples to apples it's ABC #s vs. CBS #s and again either way the 2010 final(played in the same year) the NCAA Title game DOUBLED the #s of the WC Final.
