Good stuff. It's nice to see positive news about the Jets for a change. You know this story won't be on nfl.com or espn.

I think Holmes just got fed up because he wants to win. He's already won a bunch of games for us in a short time and was the Super Bowl MVP. Doesn't completely absolve him from blame but I don't get people wanting him gone. Just give him the damn ball.

Hit the nail on the head. I'd rather see a guy get frustrated with mediocrity and fly off the handle then say nothing then rip said player in the media. The guy's competitive nature just got the best of him.

  10. I actually don't have a problem w. Holmes. Is he a bit of a diva? Sure..but all WR's are. He seems to do alot of good things off the field & above all else..wants to win.

This is a nice bit of news about him. But my opinion remains; he's a punk.

I totally agree with you here. He's still the best skill position player on the team, and the Jets need to get him the ball.

He and Sanchez both will have great years this year. Count on it OTA's and Training Camp this year will be a blessing

Unfortunately, I pretty much called the Holmes saga at the stadium....it was just five weeks before everyone else knew there was a problem; as usual.

It was the Bills home game. The usual Schottenheimer debacle and Tone was trying and trying but couldn't get open or bring anything in. Then all of a sudden Sanchez throws the ball to a spot, meanwhile Santonio broke the opposite direction. Ball lands on the ground with nobody around it. Few plays later, same thing.

Of course everyone starts in screaming at Sanchez.

"Sanchez doesn't even know where he's throwing it!"

"No, it looks like Tone just doesn't give a fuck anymore."

Sharp guy in front of me looks right back at me and starts nodding his head in agreement and pointing at me as he processed it.

We pulled the game out of our ass and won a couple more...nobody even thought twice about it. Meanwhile I was just waiting for the blowup.

Santonio's feelings pretty much mirrored my feelings on the offensive philosphy/Schottenheimer subject...why fucking bother? I just had a few extra years to simmer on it, so Santonio didn't cope as well what with being on the offense and all besides.

It wasn't anybody's fault that is still here. It won't happen again. Santonio is a good football player. Next subject.

If you aren't already, work on being a PR guy for somebody or an agent. Brilliant spin that had me nodding my head in agreement before I could form my own opinion
