Somebody's gonna start a "We Need to Bring Schotty Back" thread before season ends & the original poster will have supporters. This thread will be more hectic than all the "Schotty Must Go" threads.
Not sure if this is considered a prediction per se but here's what I'm expecting this year (happy to be wrong if it's positive for the Jets) 1) sanchez plays reasonably well to start but not great (tough schedule early on), gets hurt. Tebow comes in and plays ok but not well enough to take the starting job. Sanchez comes back from injury with fair to middling results 2) Jets lead the league in rushing 3) Jets Defense is improved but still not dominant (they will dominate 1-2 crappy offenses) 4) Jets kick a shit ton of field goals 5) Coples does what wilkerson did last year. 6) Davis will be acceptable but not what we're hoping for. 7) stephen hill, holmes and keller all have mediocre seasons. 8) Jets scrape into the playoffs (wildcard) and get bounced in 1
1. Jets have the #1 Rushing Offense in the NFL 2. Jets have the #32 Passing Offense in the NFL. 3. Jets have the #1 Ranked Defense in the NFL.
1. the Bills have a late-season collapse and miss the playoffs, despite a reasonably easy schedule at the end, because that's how Chan Gailey rolls. If they get out of the gate slowly, Gailey could easily be the first coach fired this year. 2. The Saints still manage to score enough points to make it as a wild card team, despite all the player and coaching losses 3. Tebow scores a special teams TD on a fake FG, either as the FG holder, or as the up-man on punts
1.) Bernard Pollard ends Bradys season for the second time. 2.) Mark Sanchez remains the starter for the entire season and Skip Bayless goes berserk. 3.) The Giants miss the play offs and giant fans start turning on Eli again.
1.) Sanchez will eat pretzels with cheese on the sidelines this year 2.) Jets will make it to the AFC Championship Game 3.) Tim Tebow will score 8 TD's rushing/passing combo
1. Sanchez nails Gisele 2. Sanchez improves from year 3, less TDs but less turnovers. Tebow fans lament. 3. Rex finally realizes RT, Keller, and OLB are needed before we are a SB team, capable of playing the style of football he wants.
1. Sanchez goes one better and knocks her up - Gisele then refutes Brady's request to abort. 2. Gronkowski deflowers Tebow (Belichick ordered revenge boning). 3. Jets have a decent year in 2012, but are one year (and a draft) away from filling the few remaining 'blanks' position-wise, having their current draft picks ripen, and returning to the group of 2013 SB contenders. Tebow's waived in 2013, is immediately snatched up by the Pats--NE wedding-of-the-year ensues, Belichick gives away Gronk's bride, Brady serves as best man with a star-studded group of guests including Hollywood, Obama, Biden and Harvey Frank among the attendees. A drunk Joe Biden makes a fool of himself at the reception afterwards attempting to toast the (now embarrassed) boy newlyweds a la "Dean Martin Roast" style.
1. Tebow will be the starter by week 4 2. Santonio Holmes will leave the team for "personal reasons" by week 3 only to miss the season 3. Coples will have the same amount of sacks as Vernon Ghoston.
1. The Bills make the playoffs. 2. The Chiefs win their division over Denver. 3. Sanchez has his best season as a Jet.
Wanted to add more. 4. Coples is a beast this year, but has an underwhelming career. 5. Fitzpatrick does well enough to get us to the playoffs, but proves he's not a franchise QB. 6. Tampa Bay does great things under Schiano.
1) Coples and Wilkerson are disruptive from the interior and show a lot of promise for the future. 2) The Jets offense is more efficient when Tebow is on the field (better TD to turnover ratio, more big passing plays, better YPC) 3) Gronk breaks the TD record Bonus! The Jets will have a losing record and will be a very unliked team (at least on TGG)
1) Stafford outperforms Rodgers 2) Moss outperforms Crabtree 3) TO commits suicide before the end of the season
1. Sanchez has the best season of his life and makes the pro bowl. 2. The Tebow trade proves to be unneeded and he asks for a trade by the end of the year. We get a 2nd rounder for him from the Jags next year. 3. The Jets will make the Super Bowl, but the world ends the day before the game is played.
Also: 1. The Saints miss the playoffs, Panthers win NFC South. 2. Three teams from the AFC East make the playoffs, with the Jets winning the division from a tie breaker over NE at 12-4. 3. Peyton Manning has his worst season since his rookie year. Broncos, in hindsight, were better off with Tebow.
Jets win AFC east Sanchez will kick ass peyton manning will play really well but the broncos will have an early playoff exit in wild card round
