The 2012 Nostradamus Contest There is a game that my co-workers and I play where each of us make three predictions for the upcoming season. The winner usually takes a dollar but the fun is seeing your predictions come true. The rules are simple. Make three predictions as specific as you want. Of course, the more specific, the more pressure you put on yourself. Truthfully the game is more satisfying if you reach in your gut and pull out the boldest statement you can come up with. The winner is the person whose predictions have all come true, regardless of how many other participant's have come true. Also, you may, at any time, demand that a participant clarify their predictions whether to differientiate from your own predictions, or just to have the parameters of the prediction more clear. If you win, you have the privledge and honor of having the "2012 Nostradamas Contest Winner" title under your avatar. Here are my BOLD predictions which I actually have had since before the draft. 1. Sanchez will remain starter throughout the season. In fact, Sanchez will flourish under the new system and finish in the top ten using the traditional QB rating system. 2. Peyton Manning will not play the entire season and will struggle mightily in Denver. 3. RG3 will win rookie of the year. What are your predictions?
1. Tebow takes over the starting QB role by the bye week 2. Broncos make the playoffs off of Manning's steller season 3. Luck wins rookie of the year Note: I don't necessarily believe any of those things but just thought I'd do the complete opposite of you so one of us is bound to be right on something
1. New York Jets win the AFC EAST 2. Revis wins Defensive Player of the Year 3. DeMarco Murrary wins Rushing Title.
1. The Jets will be in the top 5 in field goal attempts. 2. Peyton Manning will retire after the 2012 season. 3. Trent Richardson wins rookie of the year.
1. Aaron Maybin racks up 12+ sacks and fans will still complain about him. 2. Bryan Thomas doesn't finish the season and the Jets defense continues to struggle setting the edge without him. 3. The Bears will play in the superbowl.
1. Tebow will have more passing yards than rushing yards this season. 2. Coples presence will increase the NYJ sack total from last season. 3. Jets will make the playoffs.
1.tebow replaces sanchez at one point in the season as a starter, but sanchez comes back and brings a top 5 QB preformance throught the end of the season and the play offs. 2.landry/bell gets hurt and lionheart replaces them at the end of the season on, stays healthy, and brings back our top 5 defense. 3.RG3 gets juxed out of his Roty title by luck from a small margin. SB prediction Jets VS 49ers
