Link? I checked out the site and didn't see that. A Google search didn't bring up anything that says he's signed yet either.

Yeremiah Bell has found his new NFL home.

A league source tells PFT’s Mike Florio that Bell has signed with the Jets on a one-year, $1.4 million contract. The deal includes a $200,000 signing bonus, a $1.1 million fully guaranteed base salary and a $100,000 workout bonus.

Bell was expected to sign today after making visits to the Eagles, Jets, Chiefs and Titans since being released by the Dolphins, and now the deal with the Jets is done.

For the Jets, who went into the offseason with bolstering the safety position as one of their top priorities, have now added two in free agency, Bell and LaRon Landry. They also spent a sixth-round draft pick on safety Josh Bush and a seventh-round draft pick on safety Antonio Allen.

The 34-year-old Bell has played his entire eight-year career with the Dolphins. He started all 16 games last year.

    Yeah same here.

If we didn't have Landry I would like this but we need a S that can cover *sigh*, retarded Eric Smith can hit hard "whoopty doo".

So now we have two solid strong safeties, but still no solid starting free safety.

so 2 SS, a 6th-round FS, and a special teams hybrid type safety. Certainly looks good on paper to what we've tried to accomplish as far as upgrading the position, but to me only Landry can be a true difference maker if he stays healthy. And that is a gigantic if. Still not exactly feeling too good about the position going into the season. Really really wishing Earl Thomas was a Jet right now.

Yep, we need a FS bad now.

I do like them actually adding depth to SS though. Now if they will only do this at to the O-line.

It can't hurt to increase the depth. I just wish we'd sign an actual FS.

Shit, the guys running this team are capable of anything. I give up trying to predict what they will do next.

Awesome, we have 13 strong safeties now and some 6th round rookie FS that might make the roster.

I'll drink to the hope that Wilkerson and Coples will be burying QBs so fast we don't need safeties playing deep anyway...... *offers up a pitcher of kool-aid*

This offseason has been very puzzling to say the least.

Vrentas reporting that Landry "not regularly participating in training or meetings".

I guess it's not worth reading too much into voluntary OTA season.
