His speed was never a problem. He just never had the body to be an every down back. People are hoping with 15pounds of muscle he will be able to take on more carries and run between the tackles instead of just sweep plays and what not.

Go back and watch some of the game Mcknight was the only player making big plays. Granted they were on special teams and he also coughed up a few but he did show signs of being a play maker especially the first half of the season.

I am not sure he has the physique to take the pounding of an every down back though.

Hopefully he can put on another 50 lbs, and he can start at RT.

NFL.com reports he said he was eating McDonalds the whole time and Super Sized. I hope this isnt true and he is just wasting our time? Training camp will surely show if he is out of shape again and could be expendable

There's no way this is true. Unless this kid wants the fast track to working at the local McDonalds, If he doesn't have the discipline to not eat junk food over the offseason can't imagine what kind of work he put in to stay in shape..

This went quickly from "Can he help the team?", to "Did McKnight put on 15 lbs of blubber and is he gonna get cut?"

Per rotoworld: "I was eating healthy, but the majority of time I was eating bad," said McKnight. "I wasn't eating all the right stuff."

Everyone calm down. The fucking media is jumping all over this because they either a) cant pick up sarcasm or b) dont care about the fact that he was joking and once agian, just want to stir shit up.

Per Chris Nimbley- “goal was I wanted to comeback and not be labeled a specialty back... I wanted to show I can run between the tackles. Thats one of the reasons to put on weight. I just had to make sure it was the right (type of) weight”- McKnight

I advise you follow this guy on twitter. He’s not a typical piece of shit reporter that tries to stir shit up and will spin anything a player says into something that can be talked about.

So people, dont freak out saying McKnight is fat and gained all of his weight from McDonalds... That was a joke saying he would cheat occasionally on his diet. Dont do exactly what the media wants you to do.

This makes no sense at all. I mean, grammar wise. I hope it was just a joke like someone said because if not this guy isn't just poor with his conditioning...he's just plain stupid.

Rex is having more of an influence on his players than we all thought.

Woah... Rex has lost 70 pounds this offseason.

He's not as fat as you might think.

Did he really fumble 3 times in 43 attempts last season? or were they counting returns also?

“A lot of McDonald’s,” the 5-11 McKnight said. “I ate healthy, but the majority of the time I was eating bad.

    WTF???
