Agreed....all of those Toronto fans and those Buffoonalos (disguised as empty seats) will love their Fitzharvard as he leads them to another 6-10 plunge over Niagara Falls Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2
I'm curious, did VY's problems solely stem from lack of intelligence? I thought that he had an unorthodox throwing motion coming out of college and that the NFL was never able to fix that issue. Combination of both?
I would say both. He has shown he can be an average QB in the NFL. I just don't think he has the mental capacity to handle a starting QB job every week. Doesn't seem to get respect from his teammates either. Afterall he did have that weird "suicide" attempt a few years ago so he obviously has some physiological and emotional problems. Look at what he did in a strip club last year lol...But Chan Gailey likes mobile QB'S and has always been good grooming QB'S. So if anybody can help him with the actual football part of the game, he can. I just hope Vince has grown up since this. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/27/vince-young-sued-for-trying-to-make-it-rain/
Im blaming his issues on maturity and lack of intelligence. Talent wise this guy could of been something close to a Steve Mcnair. Problem was he didnt have the mental fortitude and leadership. In the second half of his second season, he had made significant strides Hell it took McNair 6 years till he became a pretty solid QB, his first few years were just as bad if not worse than VYs. But at this point I think VY is done. Hes not gonna do anything for the Bills, and I could see him just giving up and retiring in a year or 2. He got his payday, will realize he missed his shot and is just gonna give up. Unless of course he already blew his fortune
Someone incorrectly gave Fitzy credit for a loss to "Clemens and the JV squad" in the 2010 finale but he and 4 starters on the offensive line didn't even play that game. Anyway, I'm not saying the Bills are better than the Jets but the difference in the two teams certainly isn't as great as Jet fans would like to think it is. They were a Stevie catch away from having the same record last season. Just being healthier (like not losing their best player on each side of the ball, the starters on the two most important positions on the OL, their #2 receiver, and not having the starting QB play half the year with cracked ribs) and much improved on defense should help close the not so big gap. Sanchez isn't going to get the chance to sit in the pocket for half an hour like he did in his 4 td, 48 completion percentage game. And why would anyone bring up Fitzy leading the league in interceptions when Sanchez had more turnovers? For all the excuses made for Sanchez, with poor right tackle play ranking very highly, surely you can understand Bills fan giving Fitzy the benefit of the doubt playing with a patchwork offensive line and down his top rb and #2 receiver? Especially when you throw in the rib injury the coincided with the drop in numbers.
I think that the Bills brought in Young to see if he can give them a semi-decent backup QB who can also play the wildcat QB spot. I think that's that only way he makes the team. If he could cover both spots, he'd save Bills significant $$$ as well as a roster space because the Bills can then release both Thigpen and Smith, both of whom are making more than Young (who signed for $1 million plus another $1 million in bonuses IIRC). I think the big issue with Young is his alleged lack of intelligence. The Bills don't run a complicated offense but they expect their players to know the playbook well. Now, maybe that's an unfair characterization about Young, and maybe he just wasn't serious about studying in his previous stints, but has turned over a new leaf. Nobody knows at this point.
Fitzharvard sucks...So do the Bills, Buffoonalo and the rest of NYS north of Westchester Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2
"Only way he makes the team" HAHA I bet you a case of EBC's finest he's your starting QB some point this season. No longer can you pick on the Jets QB situation from your Hut in Hinsdale because It's somewhat similar to what the Jets created except Fitzpatrick is shittier than Sanchez and Young is a slightly better QB than Tebow (until the tough gets going anyway and he quits) When ya'll start out slow after the insane expectations you've set for yourself the Vince Young crying from WNY will be louder than the tebowites cries in NY.
You can argue over who is better all day, but the difference is, you traded your 1st and 2nd round picks to draft your guy in the top 5 picks, and ours was a 7th round free agent that we got for nothing. The simple fact that there is an argument over who is better, a top 5 pick or a journeyman QB, speaks volumes to how pathetic Sanchez is.
How pathetic is every QB in the past decade to be compared to a 6th round QB from Michigan? Also didn't you guys just give Fitz a 60 million dollar contract, that's nothing? Bad arguments.
You try waaaaaaaaaaay too hard! You aren't clever. You aren't funny. You are boring, and you know it............
It is not a bad argument at all. The point was how much you've invested in Sanchez's future success. You traded multiple picks for a top 5 guy, or someone the Jets thought was worth it. Fitz was signed to hold down the fort until we build up the rest of the roster, and then begin the search for a franchise guy. There are no expectations on him. You mentioned his contract. He can be cut at any time with very little on the cap. He is a solid QB who will always be at least a solid backup. But the Jets... they think that their guy is a franchise QB, and that is the laughable difference. Nobody is pretending like Fitz is a franchise guy, but the Jets are.
The funniest thing about that poster is that any time a Bills fans makes a comment, this guy responds and tells the world that he has added another Bills fan to his "ignore" list... as if any of us give a shit about if sg3 online is reading our posts. It is quite hysterical. Does this guy think he's Barack Obama or something? LOL. What does anyone care if he is reading our posts or not? Who the fuck is he? lol
The Jets went IN SPITE of Sanchez. When your offense revolves around limiting the amount your QB throws the ball, you know something isn't right.
In spite? It was never in spite of Sanchez. In 09 you could argue he was along for the ride but in 10 they only made and won in the playoffs because of him. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SancMa00/gamelog/post/ Those are his postseason stats, what from them say the Jets won in spite of him? The 9 to 3 TD:INT ratio, the 60% completion rate, the 94.3 QBR, 0 games with multiple INT's? Mark Sanchez has had 13 games where he threw 2 or more picks, and the Jets are 2-11 in those games. Again, if the Jets were winning in spite of, that record would be much much better. In spite of means in my mind that Sanchez played horrible and the rest of the team stepped up. Do you have a different definition?
It is bad argument because you never originally mentioned any of this in your original argument. You just said it must be bad since Sanchez is being compared to a 7th rounder? It was an illogical claim to say "The simple fact that there is an argument over who is better, a top 5 pick or a journeyman QB, speaks volumes to how pathetic Sanchez is." Peyton a #1 pick compared to a 6th rounder Brady? According to your logic that means Peyton is pathetic. You started off mentioning the value the Jets used on Sanchez, but your last statement is what I took issue to, the one I quoted in my above paragraph. It was a bad point.
