Hopefully that report wasn't true and he looks major league-ready on Sunday. Then again, it's not difficult to look major league-ready against the M's.
My guess is Phelps. The original Saturday/Sunday/Monday (if there is a game Monday) would've been Hughes/Nova/Phelps. It would make sense to shift Nova to Monday and drop Phelps after starting Pettitte on Sunday.
Nova is 1A to CC. He has done it long enough to deserve that recognition. I would have liked to see him tie Clemens but 16-1 over his last 17 decisions is the best in baseball..not even Verlander can say that.
Seems to me there was another comment in there I made about Nova obviously being out of position in that list, no? The rest was all true. Here.. I guess you could look at this..obviously Nova is better than 4th but the rest belong right where they are in the depth chart. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/stat...vel=child&click_text=Sortable+Player+pitching
your link is just the statistics of the Yankees pitching. Like I said, Nova was never the 4th starter. Now you're saying he's 1A.
Hughes continues to be bi-polar, this time in the good way. Yanks on a roll. Pettite tomorrow I hope he still got it.
