no they werent, braylon went to jets west, not tone ... tone was a FA and decided to not partake in any of the lockout activities

if we lose and sanchez didnt throw him the ball enough id expect him to be upset, hes our best weapon on offense ... its called being a competitor and wanting to help your team win

    Round of applause!

    Brilliant post.

It's really no different from people being pissed at the Amare Stoudemire for pounding the fire extinguisher but completely ignoring the fact that Mike Bibby and Steve Novak started an NBA playoff game.

Tone got pissed about our inept and handle it unprofessionally. It was a lapse of judgement. Leave it at that and move the hell on. I wish someone would do the same with our safety play, RT and pass rush. Maybe it would be a bigger priority.

NY fans and media always nitpick the little things with the stars and overlook the obvious with the bums.

I won't argue with what you are saying but let's set this straight once and for all.

At the end of last season the Jets had internal meetings to decide whether they should just flat out cut Sanchez. Then they went out and tried like hell to get Manning..if they had Sanchez would already be gone. I don't believe for a second that Tebow is here as a possible replacement but Sanchex nevertheless is living on borrowed time. If he is not good he is gone and Tebow has nothing to do with it.

Tim Tebow wasn't mentioned once in this article, And it appears to actually be about football..... Who wrote this garbage?

there weren't any meetings about cutting Sanchez, that is ridiculously insane.

They didn't try like hell to get manning, they explored all options. EVERY move made whent he season was over was made w/ helping Sanchez improve in mind. There was never a chance we were getting Manning thankfully.

Do you have a link to an article about those meetings to cut Sanchez, or are you just posting fake news to back up your position? I don't remember reading a thing about it.

Agree 100% with your comments. My gut tells me the team as a whole, including the coaches, feel embarrassed with the results. I said it many times before, but when you don't leverage the game plan to your players strengths you are in for a long day. Offense wise we over complicated things so much it caused nothing but confusion and mistakes, improperly leveraging Sanchez strength, LT and others. Sparano also has something to prove, that he can take essentially the same offense and make it a real strong contender with a combination of ground and pound and taking a few shots down field to keep the secondary honest. Last year biggest embarrassment was our total predictability in our schemes and total lack of imagination or confidence in our team as a whole.
Defensively, we have to figure out how to prevent the 2 TE monsters from eating big chuck of yardage. In fact that to me is as big a concern if not bigger than RT.

Huh? How is that even a valid comparison? Stat missed a playoff game because of his own stupidity and 3 of our guards had injuries. Of course Bibby's gonna start, he's pretty much the only one left on the roster. Novak started BECAUSE of Staudamire punching the fire extinguisher. I swear people just don't think before posting.

Relax there big guy. There's already a thread about Maybin gaining weight and, aside from the small note in the original article, this thread was mostly about the locker room and hunter/holmes. Your picture seemed out of place and without context.

I was just trying to make a light hearted poke. My sincerest apologies Sir.

Hunter stated himself it was mental from the same article:
"It was a shock mentally for me, everyone knows physically I can get the job done and they've seen me get the job done like I said I've had good games, but it was a shock as far as being that No. 1 guy consistently and consistency was my problem," he said.

I'm not going to defend WFH, BUT i'd be more inclined to lean towards mental.

For the previous 8 yrs he was a backup, which means when his number was called he was fresh, strong, non-beaten-up, and had a chance to be the hero of the moment (ie., playoffs)

But 'starting' is a whole different animal. It's constant wear and tear, 50-60 snaps a game, every game, plus all the reps in practice.

It's one thing to stay focused and strong when used in spot duty.

Now that WFH has been through a full season as a starter, he will be more mentally prepared with whats coming his way. Something he clearly wasn't fully ready for last year.

    So...maybe.

Not if you know what the players on your team look like. Seems like you fail on multiple counts.

He WAS on a SB team, yet he managed to make himself unwanted there with his attitude, so I don't think winning is the biggest goal on his agenda.

Also, I watched as Sanchez consoled "Tone" who was walking off the field with his head down after Burress caught his third TD one game last year. I knew right there that something was not right, but I got pooh poohed on here.

Seems like you've been spending a lot of time watching Maybin's web cam show. Congrats.
