per TMZ: Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heward-Bey was charged with DUI in San Francisco this morning ... after cops say he was driving while drunk on the Bay Bridge back in April. According to the San Francisco Chronicle ... DHB was busted around 2 AM on April 7th after a California Highway Patrol officer noticed the 25-year-old speeding and weaving in his lane. After he was pulled over, cops performed a field sobriety test ... which he reportedly bombed. He was cited for drunk driving and later released. Cops say the former 1st round draft pick was "very cooperative" during the stop. If convicted, DHB faces up to 6 months in jail. Calls to the Raiders have not been returned.
He improved last season, he showed he can play at the NFL level. Will the Raiders suspend him for a game or be classless like the Jets and let the league handle sanctions?
