This gives me a lot of hope that he will be able to fill in for LT!

Cause everyone knows golden oreos are rich in proteins and acsorbic acid

Glad to hear the news but that couldn't have been reported any worse lol

Has there been any official mentioning of him getting an increased workload and/or more carries this upcoming Season?

15 pounds of muscle & keeping the speed is amazing. Wonder if the extra size can make him share equal carries w/ Greene and still be healthy.

If this is true this could mean a big improvement to the running game. Greene needs a complimentary back to work to his full potential grinding it out at the end of games

This might be what puts him over the top. You could tell watching him in heavy load situations (ie broncos game) that he had the capability to play a lot of downs, but power running wasn't his forte. This way he can fill both roles if need be.

I read he was up to 205 a few weeks ago, so how much is he now? around 210-215? Because if so, thats great. Especially if he kept his speed.

Hopefully that helps him hold onto the fucking ball. He has a nice skill set but if he keeps fumbling at the rate he did last year he'll be out of the league very quickly.

my guess is he enters training camp at 210, but is under 200 by season end.

I've always liked McKnight. He can do anything you want a back to do. I don't know what the hell is up with Greene, or why he just is not turning into the player he looks like he should be, but if he continues his struggles I would not be surprised to see a whole lot of McKnight by the end of the season.

Greene is nothing special at all and despite his size, he isnt a bruising back... well at least not to the opposing defense. McKnight actually has good speed/vision and is a special athlete. We’ll see what happens though... they’ll probably run Greene into the ground and have zero explosion through the run game like last year.

McKnight has to keep the lungs clean. He gets gassed easy. discipline, dedication, desire. We got to want it more than everyone else.

    good job, Joe

Only one thing I'm concerned about.... I spent a couple of years on the Oreos diet (before finding Weight Watchers) and gained more than 15 pounds, not much of it muscle

I don't get why everyone in the media (and a few people on this board) are so down on Greene. He had a 1,000 yard rushing season last season averaging over 4 ypc. That's pretty damn good. I mean, he didn't break off any 50-yard runs or anything, but if he can average over four yards per carry without those kinds of plays, it shows how consistent he is at getting decent yardage every time he touches the ball.

Greene is another Jet who will benefit hugely from the removal of idiot Schottenheimer.

Sitting down your best running back for half the series in a game in order to put in washed up old Tomlinson and then calling plays for him to run into the middle of the line twice on first and second down leaving the Jets in a pretty continuous 3rd and 7 or 8 all afternoon

Greene and Ganaway between the tackles, McKnight and Powell outside and an OC with a brain should result in a big improvement in the Jets running game

Surprisingly Greene' yards after contact is one of the worst in the league. Which is why he was used so little in goal line situations and likely why the Jets had targeted Ganaway for the last couple of months. Maybe more important than upgrading Greene is finding a reliable replacement for LT. He was huge on 3rd down last year as a safety option for Sanchez. Given Sanchez's well documented problems panicking under pressure, someone stepping up as a reliable3rd down optiion to replace LT is a very big need if we are going to limit Sanchez's mistakes. If McKnight could step up in the role as a blocker and receiving option it would help our offense so much.
