everyone knows Dave Dameshek, he puts these N if L videos out every once in a while. I was watching this one, and he said Kyle Orton. Yes, Kyle Orton would have taken over Sanchez' starting job and taken us to the playoffs. Here's the video if your interested. http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/04/18/n-if-l-what-if-luck-was-in-2011-draft/
That makes no sense whatsoever. We aren't giving up on Sanchez this year, and certainly weren't doing it last year. I like Dameshek's shame reports, but the N if L videos are downright silly. Orton wasn't taking us anywhere last year, with the problems we had on the line. Sanchez is a better QB and still put up the 5th total TDs in league, despite everything being against him.
Oh, I think that is pretty clearly true. I would have been all for the Jets trading Sanchez and picking up Orton. The fact is the Jets got the wrong Denver Bronco Qb from last year. Orton has been a top fifteen Qb. His stats with Denver the last two years were skewed by a cluster fuck in their organization. Add a top fifteen Qb to the fifth ranked D, and at least you have a shot to go somewhere.
I concede despite the evident problems that Sanchez's job was reasonably safe last off season. But if we had known then what we know now...
:lol: Orton a top 15 QB and better than Sanchez. You guys kill me, orton is a stat padder for bad teams. He is not leading good teams to wins in January.
I'd still stick with Sanchez even with 20/20 hindsight. Chance are if it was Orton he'd have gotten hurt just like Mark did and finished the season poorly, overall impacting his stats to make him seem much worse than he actually is and permanently etching Sanchez into fans' minds as a bad QB, despite his very good play for most of the season.
Calm down people, it was a comedy fluff piece. He didn't really have to put too much thought into it. Also, the perception of Sanchez outside of the Jets fanbase is that he is a steaming pile of shit. Hopefully he plays to his potential this year and shuts everyone up
Kyle Orton lost his job to both Rex Grossman and Tim Tebow. Is there anything else we need to know? I'd take him as a backup, nothing more. Ia ctually liked him back in Chi and I liked the move for Den but he's not a top 15 QB, never has been and never will be.
That's only true in 15 other team's fanbases. There ar 16 teams that would trade a 1st for Sanchez given the opportunity. I'm not a big fan of Sanchez but outside of really really poor play or lack of heart (See Jamarcus fatshit) you don't give up on a QB after 3 years. Especially one with potential.
Hey, riddle...whats worse than having a qb that can't throw the ball???? Well, having two qb's that can't throw the ball of course....teblow plus dirty = half of a qb. Hell, even Fitz is better . Your two qbs are 4/5th best in division jets = laughing stock of division, tied with the fins. I'm trollin hard today, 2012 =YEAROFTHEDREAM #billsmafia Oh well, I guess when you're the jets it sucks to suck How's that ass taste? Oh wait, you have Rex there...I meant feet. #billsin2012 SUCK IT!!!!!!!!!
You haven't won shit yet, and are talking trash against a team that has consistently swept you? Cool story bro
Could be the most ridiculous comment I have read on here. There is not one team or GM out there that would trade a #1 pick for Sanchez.
I love the Bills fans showing their faces now b/c they overpaid for a pass rusher w/ just 2 double digit sack seasons in his 6 year career and a guy who has never helped a team reach the playoffs.
