I think it's foolish to consider Barkley only the 3rd best QB in that group. I think Bray and Wilson are very good future NFL quarterbacks, but passing on Barkley would be a gigantic mistake unless he totally bombs the combine or gets hurt.

A+M seems to have a lot of 1st-round picks for a team that's only going to win 8 games year after year. It must be Ron Zook syndrome: recruit tons of all-America talent, then coach them to the middle.

How the hell is DJ Fluker at 26? And Luke Joeckel at #2? Not too sure about that...

Fluker and Faulk should be the 1a and 1b of OTs next season.

This draft is pretty stupid to me, especially with them drafting a NT for the Jets and skipping the likes of Fluker, Mingo, Armstrong, and Reid

No Manti Te'o in round 1 makes this an instant fail. I'd be banging my table if we passed on Te'o at 21...

    Homer says what?

Te'o could have gone in round one this year. Barring a big drop off in play he should be the #1 ILB next year.

Every year as long as ND churns out a top tier talent, I will back em.

Get ready for the Te'o/Eifert hypefest in 12/13!

Jets pretty much have to go oline early next year, but we shall see. I definitely can't think that far in advance. A lot of that will depend on this season.

If Ducasse pans out, then it's not as big a need.

Even if he does, we'll still need a guard to groom into Moore's replacement, unless 7th round guard Rob Griffin turns into a beast in a relatively short time. But yeah, a lot will be based on how this season goes. We may also want to go running back early. It really depends. We could go ILB and OLB:

    So I'm going to predict:

    round one: OG
    round two: OLB
    round three: ILB
    round four: TE
    round five: RB

Just a hunch, since this year will probably be Moore's last, and we have both Keller & Cumberland as FAs. Bart Scott will also be gone after this year along with Calvin Pace and Bryan Thomas. We will have some extra money to play with next year with the salary cap, so one of those needs will probably be filled that way. Hopefully it will be OG, so we can get OLB first round again.

Because he's a RT that's strength is runblocking?

He's got good athleticism, but there's a reason he missed out on LT 3 times, and it wasn't because of a proven LT...

EDIT: But this guy shouldn't be taken seriously, same time last year he mocked the #2 pick late to the Jets as a WR...

I guess I can see that, I just view Fluker as such an elite prospect, he can be a 10 year starter on any team coming out, thats just hard to pass up, but his transition to LT will effect him, no doubt. I wonder how (if he comes out) workouts will effect teams thinking of whether or not he can move to LT.

Also, imagine if the Jets could get Fluker in the back end of the 1st round? Talk about a run blocking freak...

I know he's still learning, year 5 of playing offensive line, but I just don't see anything that would say he has LT potential other than people reaching on his athletic ability. Not every situation in which a lineman is abnormal athletic means he can play LT. Again, I go back to the fact that a JuCo OT, a former OG, and a true sophomore OT have gotten nods over him in 2009, 2011, and 2012 at the LT position.

The reason he came back this year is that he wanted to graduate, which he is on track to do this year. I personally wouldn't be happy with him in the back of the 1st because I'm of the philosophy you don't draft RTs in the 1st. After the rookie contract, in the situation you want to re-sign them, it's gonna cost some money. Now do you want to pay a big price for such a secondary position, especially if you have other needs? You cut him loose, and you're back in the same situation you were in before you drafted him.

You have a good point, thats tough to get over, maybe I have my hopes up who knows, although for the Jets it would be better if he was strictly an ROT. I'm different on the RT standpoint, if that player has the ability to make your line elite, you take him, especially a kid who has incredible run blocking skills. We have needs at OLB and Safety next year, and ultimately it depends on who is there, but I wouldn't mind drafting him in the 26-32 range by any means. He certainly has a chance to be a second rounder, I have this odd feeling he could go early in the second like 33 or 34, perfect trade down situation IMO.

This year will be very important, especially without a premiere RB on Bama (Unless you think Lacy will break out), if Fluker has an great year, he becomes a lock at in the 1st even at RT.
