So you're telling me that DCs move their guys around to exploit matchups?

    You don't say.

Oh, I know it's basic stuff, but there is a bit of a - no, let's be honest, a massive - learning curve in this particular sub-forum. Gotta give them a fighting chance.

You don't seem to be understanding the words I'm typing, so here's another blogger's take. You directed us to consider the Eagles (currently the only left-handed starting quarterback), here's a blog entry from a few weeks ago, addressing the fact that their starting left tackle has injured his achilles :

Now, before you go preaching that that blogger has no authority or credentials, you're right -- he has nothing we don't have. You obviously disagree, and based on your experience, you have shared that haven't observed what he has about the pass rush tendencies. That's fine -- just wanted some words that probably expressed it better in a specific context (because you don't seem to understand what I'm saying, and you once again explained what blind side is).

I understand that he is evening the sample size, but it is also being selective and ignoring the amount of NFL experience and training. That is pretty much cherry picking, and would be similar to me naming half of 2010 for Sanchez and half of 2011, and going, "See! Beat that!" It's a bad comparison, and honestly there's no reason at all to even compare Sanchez to Tebow. They are different dudes, with a different style of play that will make each other better this season. What if we compare that to Tom Brady's first 16 starts, or Aaron Rodgers? They had plenty of time to groom and get developed by their teams before seeing any starting action. This plays a role, for Tebow as well. If Tebow had started all 16 games in his rookie year, you know for a fact his stats wouldn't be close to that.

But no, lets go along with the darksiders and diss our QB further by claiming first season in the NFL is the same as first 16 starts in the NFL. It's just one big joke with those guys.

we took a WR, HB/FB, and OL who all played in the option... to think that none of that had to do with tebow being on the team is a bit naive.

we took the best deep threat WR in the draft. we drafted a power HB, and an OG from the same team.

we added three guys who can play at the NFL level. If tebow wasn't here, all 3 guys would be assumed to help Mark Sanchez. but because Tebow is here, it's a conspiracy to help tebow.

    amazing.

And yet still, the Jets haven't done anything to upgrade the gaping hole blocking the Tebow's blind side.

You might be on to something. Most teams wouldn't bother drafting 3 players just to help out their backup QB ... then again, most teams wouldn't waste a 4th round pick trading for a backup QB, either. :rofl2:
